GRAFZERK uit 1898 voor het echtpaar Dijkhoff in Eclectische stijl.
Omschrijving
De hardstenen tombe wordt omringd door paaltjes met kettingen. Op een geprofileerd voetstuk staat een stenen doodskist. Hier boven verheft zich op acht korte zuiltjes een schuin oplopende dekplaat met decoratie opzij en een kruis van biscuitporselein aan de bovenzijde. Het graf is bestemd voor Antoon Dijkhoff, notaris, 1828-1899 en zijn vrouw, 1835-1898.
Waardering
Het grafmonument is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als getuigenis van de katholieke grafcultuur in Zuid-Nederland en als herinnering aan een der leden van de maatschappelijke elite in de negentiende en vroege twintigste eeuw. Het heeft kunsthistorische waarde vanwege de uitzonderlijke opbouw met kolommen en doodskist, wegens de stijl en de detaillering en is tevens van belang als representatief voorbeeld van de ateliermatige produktie van sculptuur. Het heeft ensemblewaarde als onderdeel van de beide naast elkaar gelegen complexen van de hervormde en katholieke begraafplaats. Het is als voorbeeld van de bijzondere opbouw zeldzaam.

Description
The sandstone tomb is surrounded by bollards with chains. On a moulded plinth stands a stone coffin. Above this, on eight short columns, rises an upward-sloping cover slab with decoration to the side and a biscuit porcelain cross at the top. The grave is intended for Antoon Dijkhoff, notary, 1828-1899 and his wife, 1835-1898.
Valuation
The grave monument is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as testimony to Catholic grave culture in Southern Netherlands and as a reminder of one of the members of the social elite in the nineteenth and early twentieth century. It has art-historical value because of the exceptional structure with columns and coffin, because of the style and the detailing, and is also of importance as a representative example of the workshop-like production of sculpture. It has ensemble value as part of both adjacent complexes of the Reformed and Catholic cemeteries. It is rare as an example of the particular structure.
