Rond 1890 gebouwde IJSKELDER, deels in de helling en deels in een hierboven opgeworpen heuvel aan de zuidzijde van de Zanderijvaart. De ijskelder heeft de ingang aan de noord-westzijde en is diagonaal gericht op de Zanderijvaart. Tussen de ingang en de vaart bevindt zich nog het oplopend talud waarover in de winter de uit de Zanderijvaart gezaagde ijsblokken naar de hoger gelegen kelder werden getransporteerd. De ijskelder manifesteert zich als een heuvel met alleen rond de eikenhouten toegangsdeur metselwerk in rode baksteen. De binnenzijde van de ijskelder bestaat vermoedelijk uit metselwerk, waaromheen en waarboven in verband met de te bereiken lage temperatuur de eerder genoemde heuvel werd opgeworpen.

Description
ICE HOUSE built around 1890, partly in the slope and partly in a mound raised above it on the south side of the Zanderijvaart. The ice house has its entrance on the north-west side and is aligned diagonally towards the Zanderijvaart. Between the entrance and the waterway the rising embankment is still present, over which in winter the ice blocks sawn from the Zanderijvaart were transported to the higher situated cellar. The ice house manifests itself as a mound with brickwork of red brick only around the oak-wood entrance door. The interior of the ice house presumably consists of brickwork, around and above which, in connection with the need to achieve low temperature, the aforementioned mound was raised.
Valuation
The ice house is of general importance from a cultural-historical perspective as a historic-functional component of the estate Duinlust.
