Inleiding
De waarschijnlijk zeventiende-eeuwse KASTEELPOORT, die zich bevond ter plaats van het huidige hekwerk met inrijpoort, is kort na de Tweede Wereldoorlog geamoveerd. De restanten, bestaande uit een thans onbekend aantal blokken bewerkte hardsteen, zijn toen in het oostelijke deel van de toentertijd reeds gedempte noordelijke kasteelgracht gegooid. Deze restanten zijn gedeeltelijk met aarde bedekt.
Beschrijving
Het betreft een naar alle waarschijnlijkheid twintigtal blokken bewerkte hardsteen, voorzien van profileringen en andere ornamentale bewerkingen, die gestapeld de getoogde inrijpoort van het voormalige kasteel vormen.

Het object heeft architectuurhistorische waarden: het is van belang wegens het bijzondere materiaalgebruik; ensemblewaarden: het object heeft belang wegens de hoogwaardige kwaliteit van de bebouwing en de historisch-ruimtelijke relatie met groenvoorzieningen, wegen, wateren en bodemgesteldheid.

Description
Introduction
The probably seventeenth-century CASTLE GATE, which was located at the site of the current fencing with carriage entrance, was removed shortly after the Second World War. The remains, consisting of an now unknown number of blocks of worked hardstone, were then thrown into the eastern part of the northern castle moat, which was already filled in at that time. These remains are partly covered with earth.
Description
These are probably approximately twenty blocks of worked hardstone, provided with mouldings and other ornamental workings, which when stacked formed the arched carriage entrance of the former castle.
