Inleiding
Aan de zuidelijke zijde van de Spoorstraat, in de kom van Vierlingsbeek, staat de HERVORMDE KERK, uit 1843.
Het in ambachtelijk-traditionele stijl met neo-classicistische elementen opgetrokken kerkgebouw ligt enigszins terug in de rooilijn en wordt omgeven door een buiten de bescherming vallende begraafplaats.
Omschrijving
De Hervormde kerk heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond met aan de zuidelijke zijde een driezijdige sluiting. De kerk telt drie traveeën. Het eenlaags kerkgebouw wordt gedekt door een samengesteld zadeldak, gedekt met lei in Maasdekking. Tegen de noordelijke gevel staat op de nok van het dak een zeskantige open dakruiter met rondboogfries en ingesnoerd spitsje.
De handvorm bakstenen gevels zijn voorzien van een bepleisterde plint en worden afgesloten door een geprofileerde houten gootlijst op bakstenen profiellijst. De noordelijke straatgevel, op de hoeken voorzien van lisenen, is hoog opgetrokken, zwenkt ter hoogte van het dak in en wordt daar bekroond door een eenvoudig gepleisterd fronton. Deze gevel is symmetrisch van opzet en telt één vensteras: boven de vleugelpaneeldeur met pilasteromlijsting op hardstenen sokkel en een kroonlijst, is een spitsboogvenster met hardstenen dorpel en afzaten, voorzien van een ijzeren vorktracering. In de topgevel een kleine elliptische oculus. In de eveneens in handvorm baksteen opgetrokken zijgevels worden de traveeën gescheiden door lisenen. In elke travee een venster met vorktracering als in de noordelijke gevel. De zuidelijke driezijdige sluiting, eveneens geleed door lisenen, is geheel blind uitgevoerd.
Parallel aan de zuidgevel van de Nederlands Hervormde kerk of "Koningskerkje", staat langs de Willem I straat, een borsthoge, rechte bakstenen muur, geleed met beertjes ter afscheiding van het kerkhof.
In het interieur aan de noordelijke zijde een orgeltribune.
Waardering
Het object is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een geestelijke ontwikkeling, namelijk de bescheiden rol van het protestantisme in Noord-Brabant in de vroege negentiende eeuw, het is tevens van belang als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van de kleine hervormde zaalkerk. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van de menging van traditionele en neo-classicistische vormen bij de door Waterstaat gecontroleerde kerkbouw op het platteland. Het is van bijzondere betekenis voor het aanzien van het dorp.

On the southern side of the Spoorstraat, in the centre of Vierlingsbeek, stands the REFORMED CHURCH, from 1843.
The church building, constructed in craftsman-traditional style with neo-classical elements, stands somewhat set back from the building line and is surrounded by a graveyard which falls outside the protection.
Description
The Reformed Church has a rectangular floor plan with a three-sided closure on the southern side. The church has three bays. The single-storey church building is covered by a composite gabled roof, covered with slate in Meuse covering. Against the northern facade stands on the ridge of the roof a hexagonal open belfry with round arch frieze and pinched spire.
The handmade brick facades are provided with a plastered plinth and are finished with a profiled wooden drip moulding on brick moulding. The northern street facade, provided with pilaster strips on the corners, is built high, curves at the height of the roof and is crowned there by a simple plastered pediment. This facade is symmetrical in design and has one window bay: above the winged panelled door with pilaster frame on hardstone plinth and cornice, is a pointed arch window with hardstone lintel and abacuses, provided with iron fork tracery. In the gable a small elliptical oculus. In the side facades likewise built in handmade brick the bays are separated by pilaster strips. In each bay a window with fork tracery as in the northern facade. The southern three-sided closure, likewise articulated by pilaster strips, is entirely blind.
Parallel to the southern facade of the Dutch Reformed Church or "King's Church", along the Willem I street, stands a breast-high, straight brick wall, articulated with corbels for the separation of the graveyard.

Assessment
The object is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as a particular expression of a spiritual development, namely the modest role of Protestantism in North Brabant in the early nineteenth century, it is also of importance as an example of the typological development of the small Reformed hall church. It has architectural-historical value as an example of the mixture of traditional and neo-classical forms in the church construction on the countryside controlled by the Water Authority. It is of particular significance for the appearance of the village.
