Omschrijving complexonderdeel 2
De aan de keel- of noordzijde van het fort, naast de toegangsweg gelegen GENIELOODS is opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond en telt één bouwlaag onder een zadeldak, dat gedekt is met gesmoorde Hollandse pannen. De gevels zijn opgetrokken uit houten, groen geschilderde rabatdelen op een bakstenen fundament, waarvan de hoeken zijn geaccentueerd met beton.
De noordgevel bevat een dubbele deur en een luik in de top. De zuidgevel is identiek aan de noordgevel maar bevat tevens een hijsbalk.
De oostgevel bezit links een venster met luiken en een deur, alsmede rechts een aantal bouwsporen van vensteropeningen.
De westgevel is blind, maar bevat een aantal bouwsporen van vensteropeningen.
Waardering complexonderdeel 2
De genieloods is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde als relatief gaaf voorbeeld van een genieloods, vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als onderdeel van de verdedigbaarheid van het fort en als onderdeel van de Stelling van Amsterdam en tevens vanwege ensemblewaarde als onderdeel van het fort.

Description of complex component 2
The ENGINEERS' STORE situated on the gorge or north side of the fort, beside the access road, is constructed on a rectangular plan and comprises one storey under a gabled roof, which is covered with suppressed Dutch tiles. The facades are constructed of wooden, green-painted rabat sections on a brick foundation, the corners of which are accentuated with concrete.
The north facade contains a double door and a hatch in the gable. The south facade is identical to the north facade but also contains a hoisting beam.
The east facade has on the left a window with shutters and a door, as well as on the right a number of building traces of window openings.
The west facade is blank, but contains a number of building traces of window openings.
Valuation of complex component 2
The engineers' store is of general importance because of its architectural-historical value as a relatively intact example of an engineers' store, because of its cultural-historical value as part of the defensibility of the fort and as part of the Stelling van Amsterdam, and also because of ensemble value as part of the fort.
