Een aan het begin van de oprijlaan gelegen TUINMANSWONING met aangebouwde ORANJERIE van rond 1887. De woning heeft een van oorsprong L-vormige plattegrond waartegen de zuidgevel de bouwmassa van de oranjerie is gezet. Deze heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond. Het woongedeelte, dat gedeeltelijk onderkelderd is, telt anderhalve bouwlaag en wordt gedekt door een samengesteld zadeldak met overstek op fors gesneden klossen. De schilden zijn gedekt met grijze Hollandse pannen en op de nok is een ijzeren klokkenstoel gezet. De nokuiteinden zijn voorzien van pirons. De bakstenen gevels zijn in de eerste bouwlaag voorzien van speklagen die over de hoeklisenen doorlopen. De plint bestaat uit een grijs bepleisterde laag vanaf de grond, waarboven een bakstenen strook is gemetseld die met een cordonlijst wordt afgesloten. Onder de vensters zijn in de plint tegeltableaux bevestigd met uitzondering aan de noordzijde, waar zich een kelderlicht bevindt.
De noordgevel bestaat uit een topgevelpartij van één vensteras breedte. Op de middenas bevindt zich in de eerste bouwlaag een venster met een zesruits schuifraam en in de top een rondboogvenster. Links van de topgevel, in de binnenhoek van de L-vorm, is een later toegevoegd, éénlaags bouwvolume, waarin zich de toegang tot de woning bevindt. Dit bouwvolume heeft geen speklagen. De oostgevel is conform de noordgevel. De westgevel heeft geen speklagen en onder de daklijst van de topgevel zijn geen klossen bevestigd. Tegen de gevel is een latere aanbouw van één bouwlaag onder een plat dak gezet. Rechts hiervan is een topgevel die in de eerste bouwlaag twee vensterassen breed is. De oostgevel van de oranjerie is drie traveeën breed. De smallere middelste travee is, op een niet oorspronkelijke toegangsdeur na, geheel dichtgemetseld. Rechts hiervan bevindt zich een groot drielichtsvenster met roedenindeling en bovenlichten. Aan de linkerzijde is eenzelfde venster dichtgemetseld. De zuidgevel beschikte oorspronkelijk over een groot venster, maar is eveneens dichtgemetseld. De westgevel is op een vierkante vensteropening na geheel blind.
De oranjerie heeft een koperen roevendak.
Waardering
Het object is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde als herkenbaar voorbeeld van een tuinmanswoning annex oranjerie uit omstreeks 1887, alsmede vanwege de detaillering in de gevels. Tevens vanwege de ensemblewaarde als onderdeel van het complex in relatie met het park en het landhuis.

Description
A GARDENER'S DWELLING located at the beginning of the approach drive with an adjoining ORANGERY, from around 1887. The dwelling originally has an L-shaped floor plan, against the south facade of which the building mass of the orangery is set. The latter has a rectangular floor plan. The residential section, which is partly cellared, comprises one-and-a-half storeys and is covered by a complex gabled roof with overhang on heavily carved brackets. The slates are covered with grey Dutch tiles and on the ridge an iron bell-cage is set. The ridge ends are provided with finials. The brick facades are provided in the first storey with brick courses that run over the corner lisenes. The plinth consists of a grey plastered layer from the ground, above which a brick course is laid that is terminated with a cordon moulding. Below the windows are tile tableaux fixed in the plinth, with the exception on the north side, where a cellar light is located.
The north facade comprises a gable section one window bay wide. On the central axis is in the first storey a window with a six-pane sash frame and in the gable a round-arched window. To the left of the gable, in the inner corner of the L-shape, is a later added, single-storey building volume, in which the access to the dwelling is located. This building volume has no brick courses. The east facade is in accordance with the north facade. The west facade has no brick courses and under the eaves of the gable no brackets are fixed. Against the facade is a later extension of one storey under a flat roof set. To the right of this is a gable that is two window bays wide in the first storey. The east facade of the orangery is three bays wide. The narrower central bay is, except for a non-original entrance door, entirely bricked up. To the right of this is a large three-light window with glazing bars and fanlights. On the left side is a similar window bricked up. The south facade originally had a large window, but has also been bricked up. The west facade is entirely blank except for a square window opening.
The orangery has a copper rafter roof.
Valuation
The object is of general importance for its architectural historical value as a recognisable example of a gardener's dwelling and orangery from around 1887, as well as for the detailing in the facades. Furthermore for its ensemble value as part of the complex in relation to the park and the country house.
