Inleiding
Drie geschakelde HERENHUIZEN in één opzet, ontworpen rond 1900 door architect J.A. van Straaten, in Eclectische stijl met gebruikmaking van diverse soorten gekleurde baksteen met voor de panden een ijzeren HEKWERK.
Omschrijving
In baksteen opgetrokken pand, bevattende drie aangrenzende woonhuizen, op een rechthoekige plattegrond, met souterrain, twee bouwlagen, een kap met dakschilden en plat dak. Negen traveeën brede voorgevel, met risalerende linker en rechter travee, beide eindigend in Vlaamse gevel,waarvan de opengewerkte geveltop in chaletstijl met makelaar in Chaletstijl is uitgevoerd. De gevels zijn ondermeer gedecoreerd met stenen banden en met rode, gele en zwarte baksteenmotieven. De vensters hebben een variërende rondboogvormige beëindiging, waarbij de vensters van de eerste bouwlaag rondboogvormige bovenlichten hebben. Ingangen gesitueerd in rondboogvormige portiek met trap met hekwerk. Voorts boven de ingangen onder meer een drielichtsvenster tussen de consolen van het balkon van de tweede verdieping.
Vier dakkapellen in het voordakschild, en gedekt met zink. Een dakgoot op decoratieve klossen en op de nok schoorstenen, opgemetseld in rode en gele baksteen.
Zij- en achtergevels uitgevoerd in zelfde stijl.
Waardering
Drie geschakelde herenhuizen in één opzet met hekwerk van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde als karakteristiek voorbeeld van de Eclectische bouwstijl rond 1900. Tevens van belang vanwege het specifieke materiaalgebruik. Van stedenbouwkundig belang als onderdeel van de singelbebouwing.

Description
Building constructed in brick, containing three adjoining residential buildings, on a rectangular ground plan, with basement, two storeys, a roof with roof shingles and flat roof. Front facade nine bays wide, with projecting left and right bays, both ending in Flemish gable, of which the open-worked gable top in chalet style is executed with half-timbering in chalet style. The facades are decorated amongst others with stone bands and with red, yellow and black brick motifs. The windows have varying round-arched finishes, with the windows of the first storey having round-arched fanlights. Entrances situated in round-arched portico with flight of steps with ironwork. Furthermore above the entrances amongst others a three-light window between the consoles of the balcony of the second floor.
Four dormer windows in the front roof section, and covered with zinc. A gutter on decorative corbels and on the ridge chimneys, constructed in red and yellow brick.
Side and rear facades executed in the same style.
