Omschrijving
Dubbel HERENHUIS, gebouwd in 1862 in eclectische stijl. Tegenwoordig deels in gebruik door het Moluks Museum.
Het bouwblok met twee bouwlagen bezit in de geheel gepleisterde voorgevel vijftien vensterassen die in de lichtrisalerende delen van schijnvoegen zijn voorzien en zich onderscheiden door consoles in de kroonlijst. Horizontale geledingen door middel van een hardstenen plint (waarin somns klederlichten), zowel een gekorniste cordon- als kroonlijst. In enkele gevallen bevatten de met ronde bovenhoeken uitgewerkte en van geprofileerde omlijstingen voorziene vensters (met hoofzakelijk T-schuiframen), kuiven. In het afgeplatte samengestelde schilddak diverse dakkapellen en dakramen.
Beide huizen maken deel uit van een straatwand, waarin een ronde hoekoplossing, die als gesloten profiel over twee straten is uitgelegd.
Venster aan Biltstraatzijde op begane grond links van de voordeur, vergroot in aangepaste stijl in 1908. Het pand is aan de Kruisstraat naar rechts verlengd met een aanbouw van drie bouwlagen onder schilddak met flauwe helling, loodrecht op de rooilijn. De gepleisterde afwerking sluit aan bij die van het hoofdpand. De ingang bevindt zich in dit bouwdeel. Rechts van dit bouwdeel is nog een éénlaags aanbouw, gepleisterd.
In het interieur zijn in enkele vertrekken de originele stucplafonds nog aanwezig, evenals de trap met de oorspronkelijke balustrade.
Voor het overige heeft het dubbele herenhuis de kenmerken als gegeven bij de algemene beschrijving van het complex.

Dubbel HERENHUIS van algemeen belang als gaaf voorbeeld van een woonhuizen tweede helft 19de eeuw in eclectische stijl. Van stedenbouwkundig belang als karakteristiek onderdeel van een complex gelijksoortige herenhuizen op de hoek Biltstraat/ Kruisstraat. Double TOWNHOUSE, built in 1862 in eclectic style. Currently partly in use by the Moluccan Museum.
The building block with two storeys has in the entirely plastered front facade fifteen window axes which in the slightly projecting parts of the facade are provided with false joints and are distinguished by corbels in the cornice. Horizontal articulations by means of a hard stone plinth (in which sometimes small dress lights), both a corniced cordon and cornice. In some cases, the windows worked out with rounded top corners and provided with profiled framings (mainly with T-sash windows), contain hoods. In the flattened combined hipped roof various roof dormers and roof lights.
Both houses form part of a street frontage, in which a rounded corner solution, which is laid out as a closed profile over two streets.
Window on the Biltstraat side at ground floor left of the front door, enlarged in adapted style in 1908. The property is extended to the right at the Kruisstraat with an extension of three storeys under a hipped roof with gentle slope, perpendicular to the building line. The plastered finish connects with that of the main building. The entrance is located in this building section. To the right of this building section is still a one-storey extension, plastered.
In the interior, the original stucco ceilings are still present in some rooms, as well as the staircase with the original balustrade.
