Vrijstaande SLUISWACHTERSWONING, onderdeel uitmakend en gelegen tegenover het sluizencomplex in het Merwedekanaal, op rechthoekige plattegrond. Het centrale bouwdeel is T-vormig en heeft twee bouwlagen en een nokas die van beide bouwmassa's haaks op elkaar is geplaatst en in hoogte verschilt. Het samengestelde dak bestaat uit een tussen topgevels geplaatst zadeldak en een aangekapt zadeldak met wolfeind. In een van de oksel van de T-vorm bevindt zich een bouwdeel met één bouwlaag, gedekt met een uit het zadeldak doorgetrokken dakschild. Aan de oostgevel bevindt zich een eenlaags aanbouw - vermoedelijk in gebruik als schuur - op rechthoekige plattegrond en met schilddak. Deze aanbouw heeft een eigen ingang. Het gehele pand is in baksteen opgetrokken en heeft onder meer enkele en dubbele schuiframen met door roeden ingedeelde bovenlichten, luiken, sierranden in gele baksteen en een brede overstek. Extra details zijn onder meer een van een piron voorzien wolfseind en een getoogd afgesloten dakkapel met geprofileerde daklijst.
Aan de Everard Meysterlaan is nog een eenlaags aanbouw met zadeldak in zelfde stijl. Deze is met de hoofdbouw verbonden door middel van een gemetselde muur waarin een poortje.

Sluiswachterswoning van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde als goed en redelijk gaaf voorbeeld van een sluiswachterswoning opgetrokken in Overgangsarchitectuur. Van cultuurhistorische waarde als herkenbaar element van een maatschappelijke ontwikkeling waarbij arbeid en huisvesting in handen waren van de werkgever. Van ensemblewaarde als onderdeel van het sluizencomplex aan het Merwedekanaal.

Detached LOCK KEEPER'S DWELLING, component of and situated opposite the lock complex in the Merwedekanaal, on rectangular floor plan. The central building section is T-shaped and has two storeys and a roof truss that is placed at right angles from both building masses and differs in height. The composite roof consists of a saddle roof placed between gables and an adjoining saddle roof with half-hipped end. In one of the junctions of the T-form is located a building section with one storey, covered with a roof flap extended from the saddle roof. On the east elevation there is a one-storey extension - presumably used as a barn - on rectangular floor plan and with hipped roof. This extension has its own entrance. The entire building is constructed in brick and has, among other things, single and double sash windows with glazing bars and fanlights divided by glazing bars, shutters, decorative bands in yellow brick and a broad overhang. Additional details include a half-hipped end provided with a hip rafter and an arched enclosed roof dormer with moulded cornice.
On the Everard Meysterlaan there is still a one-storey extension with saddle roof in the same style. This is connected to the main building by means of a bricked wall in which a small gate.
