Inleiding
De TOEGANGSPOORT tot het Sportpark Leeuwarderweg bestaat uit twee gespiegelde KASSAGEBOUWTJES met daartussen een ijzeren poort met één dubbele poort en aan weerszijden een ijzeren poort; rechts naast de toegangspartij een extra stalen poort. Het hek is na WO II geplaatst ter vervanging van het originele houten hek, dat niet qua voorkomen maar wel qua opbouw hetzelfde was. Tegen de dubbele poort hangt het wapen van L.S.C.
Omschrijving
De kassagebouwtjes zijn tot aan de bovendorpels uitgevoerd in donkerrode baksteen met daarboven gele baksteen, onder betonnen plat dak met overstek dat groter is aan de Leeuwarderwegzijde. De toegang bevindt zich aan de parkzijde; het loket bevindt zich aan de poortzijde, waarbij het bovenlicht van het loketvenster in de voorgevel terugkomt met hieronder een witte betonnen plaat; de kalven steken uit het kozijnvlak; boven de bovenlichten een betonnen latei. Op de hoek, vanaf de rollaag onder het loket, een houten paal die door het dak heen prikt ten behoeve van vlaggemasten.

De toegangspoort van het sportpark aan de Leeuwarderweg is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch en architectuurhistorisch belang:

Introduction
The ENTRANCE GATE to Sportpark Leeuwarderweg consists of two mirrored TICKET OFFICE BUILDINGS with between them an iron gate with one double door and on each side an iron door; to the right of the entrance structure an extra steel door. The fence was placed after World War II as replacement of the original wooden fence, which was not the same in appearance but in construction. Against the double door hangs the coat of arms of L.S.C.
Description
The ticket office buildings are executed up to the head of the openings in dark red brick with above it yellow brick, under concrete flat roof with overhang which is larger on the Leeuwarderweg side. The entrance is located on the park side; the counter is located at the gate side, whereby the fanlight of the counter window in the front facade recurs with below it a white concrete plate; the calves project from the window frame; above the fanlights a concrete lintel. On the corner, from the roll moulding below the counter, a wooden post which pierces through the roof for the purpose of flagstaffs.
