Inleiding
Op de Rooms Katholieke begraafplaats te Sneek staat het GRAFMONUMENT van Martinus Lampe (gestorven rond 1865 ?, moeilijk leesbaar).
Omschrijving
Het grafmonument bestaat uit een zeer hoge sokkel met vierkante basis met Neo-barokke voluten en een gekruisigd Christusbeeld.
Het hoge natuurstenen basement bestaat uit acht delen die trapsgewijs op elkaar zijn gezet. Het middelste stuk is kubusvormig en bestaat uit vier marmeren ovalen met inscripties; op de hoeken voluten.
Waardering
Het grafmonument met gebeeldhouwde, gekruisigde Christus op de Rooms Katholieke begraafplaats te Sneek, vervaardigd in 1899, is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch belang:
