Omschrijving onderdeel 3: BIJGEBOUW met LIGHAL
Bijgebouw in Neo-Hollandse Renaissance uit 1914 naar ontwerp van J.J. en M.A. en J. van Nieukerken, bestaande uit twee haaks ten opzichte van elkaar gebouwde bouwdelen. Te weten het langgerekte, westelijk georiënteerde bouwdeel dat indertijd onder meer de garage met smeerkelder, een accumulatorruimte (machinekamer), een woning voor de directrice, een leslokaal en een linnenkamer bevatte. Het bouwdeel haaks hierop, met eertijds open arcade, deed dienst als lighal. Een deel van de bestrating van Friese geeltjes rond het gebouw is nog bewaard. Gebouw op min of meer L-vormige plattegrond, opgetrokken in schone baksteen met onderdelen van kunststeen; het bijgebouw onder elkaar kruisende zadeldaken tussen trapgevels en gedekt met een tuile du Nord-pan; goten op klossen; sierankers, onder meer 'anno' '1914' vormend en sierlijke lantaarnhouders. De gevels voorzien van dubbele en enkele rondboogramen en -deuren met en zonder meerruitsverdeling; dakkapellen. De lighal platgedekt en voorzien van, later verglaasde rondboogarcade; kunststenen sluit- en aanzetstenen; dito borstweringen; goten op gesneden klossen. NB. De uitbreiding uit 1954 valt buiten de bescherming wegens te weinig monumentale waarde. INTERIEUR. In het grotendeels gewijzigde interieur van het bijgebouw zijn onder meer van belang de garage met deels betegelde wanden, de badkamer met de oorspronkelijke lambrisering van handbeschilderde tegels, de zogenaamde baronnenkamer met boogspanten en ingebouwde kast, alsmede een trap in het hoger opgaande deel.
Waardering
Het bijgebouw en de lighal behorende tot de historisch buitenplaats Lyndenstein zijn van algemeen belang:
- vanwege de ouderdom;
- vanwege de oorspronkelijke functie;
- als ontwerp van de gebr. Van Nieukerken, die ook tekenden voor de verbouwing van het hoofdgebouw;
- vanwege de visuele en ruimtelijke samenhang met het hoofdgebouw.

Description component 3: OUTBUILDING WITH LOGGIA
Outbuilding in Neo-Dutch Renaissance from 1914 designed by J.J. and M.A. and J. van Nieukerken, consisting of two building sections constructed at right angles to each other. Namely the elongated, west-oriented building section which formerly contained among other things a garage with lubrication cellar, an accumulator room (machine room), a dwelling for the directress, a classroom and a linen room. The building section perpendicular to this, with formerly open arcade, served as a loggia. Part of the paving of Frisian yellow tiles around the building is still preserved. Building on a roughly L-shaped floor plan, constructed in fine brick with components of artificial stone; the outbuilding under mutually crossed gabled roofs between stepped gables and covered with Tuile du Nord pan; gutters on corbels; ornamental wall anchors, among others forming 'anno' '1914' and ornate lantern holders. The facades provided with double and single round-arched windows and doors with and without multiple glazing bars; dormer windows. The loggia flat-roofed and provided with, later glazed round-arched arcade; artificial stone closing and setting stones; ditto balustrades; gutters on carved corbels. NB. The 1954 extension falls outside the protection because of insufficient monumental value. INTERIOR. In the largely altered interior of the outbuilding are among other things of importance the garage with partially tiled walls, the bathroom with the original panelling of hand-painted tiles, the so-called baronesses' room with arch braces and built-in cupboard, as well as a staircase in the higher rising section.

The outbuilding and loggia belonging to the historic country estate Lyndenstein are of general importance:
