Hoofdgebouw van het MUSEUM Boijmans Van Beuningen gebouwd in 1929-'35 in traditionalistische trant naar ontwerp van A. van der Steur, waarbij ook ideeën van de toenmalige museumdirecteur D. Hannema en buitenlandse voorbeelden betrokken zijn.
De vleugel als tentoonstellingsruimte voor moderne kunst is gebouwd in 1969-1972 volgens functionalistische ontwerpprincipes door A. Bodon en de ideeën van de toenmalige museumdirecteur C. Ebbinge Wubben. Het paviljoen Van Beuningen De Vriese voor de collectie pre-industriële en industriële gebruiksvoorwerpen is gebouwd in 1988-1991 in de stijl van het neomodernisme naar ontwerp van H.J. Henket en de ideeën van de toenmalige museumdirecteur W. Crouwel.

Description
Principal building of MUSEUM Boijmans Van Beuningen built in 1929-35 in traditionalist manner to designs by A. van der Steur, whereby ideas of the then museum director D. Hannema and foreign examples were also incorporated.
The wing as exhibition space for modern art was built in 1969-1972 according to functionalist design principles by A. Bodon and the ideas of the then museum director C. Ebbinge Wubben. The Van Beuningen De Vriese pavilion for the collection of pre-industrial and industrial utilitarian objects was built in 1988-1991 in the style of neomodernism to designs by H.J. Henket and the ideas of the then museum director W. Crouwel.
