Waardering

Valuation
The abbey buildings possess cultural-historical values as a particular expression of a cultural, spiritual and typological development. The buildings derive architectural-historical values from their importance for the history of architecture, the aesthetic qualities of the designs and the ornamentation. The buildings derive ensemble value from their significance as an essential part of the Rolduc complex which is of national cultural-historical and architectural-historical importance. The buildings are of general interest because of the reasonable degree of architectural integrity of exterior and interior, the high-quality architectural quality of the constituent parts and in relation to the visual integrity of the landscape setting. There is also architectural-historical typological and functional rarity.
