Omschrijving
Als onderdeel van het woningbouwcomplex Rosehaghe gebouwd WONINGBLOK bestaande uit veertien woningen aan de zuidzijde van de Merkmanstraat. Het symmetrische blok staat op langwerpig grondplan dat door naar voren en terugliggende volumes aan voor- en achterzijde levendig van vorm is.
Het blok bevat alleen op de hoeken twee vooruitspringende partijen met risalieten waarvan de gootlijst ononderbroken is. De terugliggende partij tussen de hoeken bevat vier risalieten met doorbroken gootlijst en verdiepingloze uitbouw.
Dit woningblok is identiek aan het tegenoverliggende woningblok aan de noordzijde van de Merkmanstraat. De gespiegelde hoekoplossing geeft de straat een besloten karakter.

Description
As part of the housing complex Rosehaghe, built HOUSING BLOCK consisting of fourteen dwellings on the south side of the Merkmanstraat. The symmetrical block stands on an elongated ground plan that is lively in form through projecting and receding volumes at the front and rear.
The block contains only at the corners two projecting parts with risalits whose cornice line is uninterrupted. The receding part between the corners contains four risalits with broken cornice line and storey-less extension.
This housing block is identical to the opposite housing block on the north side of the Merkmanstraat. The mirrored corner solution gives the street an enclosed character.
