Inleiding
PASTORIE van de parochie H. Cornelius is gebouwd in 1852 in de stijl van het Traditionalisme en deed oorspronkelijk dienst voor vorige Sint Corneliuskerk uit 1839. deze stond op de plaats van de huidige Corneliuskerk. De pastorie is gelegen naast de R.K.-Kerk van de H. Cornelius op een randheuvel en vormt met de kerk een complex. In 1982 is de pastorie gerestaureerd door arch. Hamers.
Omschrijving
De PASTORIE heeft een U-vormige plattegrond bestaande uit een rechthoekig hoofdvolume in twee bouwlagen en volumes van één bouwlaag en een muur met poort rond een binnenplaats. Alle volumes liggen onder een zadeldak met muldenpannen. De gevels hebben een optrek in baksteen metselwerk in kruisverband. In de gevels bevinden zich rechthoekige houten deuren en vensters met bovenlicht en roedeverdeling gelegen in hardstenen lijsten onder een rollaag. Verder hardstenen dorpels. De VOORGEVEL is symmetrisch van opbouw en bestaat uit drie traveeën. Elke travee bevat een kozijn met luiken uit omstreeks 1990. De centrale entree heeft een deur met bovenlicht. drie natuursteen treden met leuningen. De houten bakgoot ligt op consoles en het zadeldak ligt verzonken.
De RECHTERZIJGEVEL heeft rechts een breed keukenvenster en een houten venster in de tweede bouwlaag. In de topgevel bevinden zich twee halfronde stalen vensters met roedes en S-vormige balkankers. In het volume ven een laag bevinden zich twee houten deuren.
