Inleiding
BEGRAAFPLAATSHEK, behorende tot het complex, "Algemene Begraafplaats Amersfoortsestraatweg" te Bussum, gelegen op een rechthoekig terrein aan de Amersfoortse straatweg hoek Brediusweg. Het entreehek staat evenwijdig aan de Amersfoortse straatweg aan de oostzijde van het terrein en dateert uit 1830, tegelijk met de stichting van de begraafplaats.
Omschrijving
Het entreehek naar de algemene begraafplaats bestaat uit twee zware vierkante bakstenen pijlers met teruggemetselde hoekpunten en rijk geprofileerde natuurstenen bekroning. Op de linker pijlerbekroning staat de naam van de stichtende gemeente: "NAARDEN", op de rechter het stichtingsjaar: "ANNO 1830" in verheven zwart gelakte Latijnse kapitalen. De twee ijzeren vleugels van het hekwerk zijn samengesteld uit rond- en platijzer. Aan de linkerzijde bevindt zich een ijzeren hekje voor voetgangers.

CEMETERY GATE, belonging to the complex "Algemene Begraafplaats Amersfoortsestraatweg" in Bussum, located on a rectangular site at Amersfoortse straatweg corner Brediusweg. Description
The entrance gate to the general cemetery consists of two heavy square brick pillars with recessed corners and richly profiled natural stone capping. On the left pillar capping is the name of the founding municipality: "NAARDEN", on the right the founding year: "ANNO 1830" in raised black lacquered Latin capitals.
