Inleiding
VILLA, in eclectische stijl in 1884 gebouwd in opdracht van de margarinefabrikant C.A. Oyens. De villa werd in 1925 verbouwd. Rond 1985 en 1990 vonden opnieuw verbouwingen plaats.
Omschrijving
De tweelaagse villa heeft drie brede vensterassen en een schilddak met rode verbeterde hollandse dakpannen. De nokas staat loodrecht op de straat. De rechter travee heeft een plat dak. De rechtergevel is deels verbonden met de in 1890 gebouwde villa op nummer 85. Het pand heeft een souterrain. De villa is gepleisterd en wit geschilderd. Boven de gladde plint bevinden zich de cordonlijst en de dorpels van de gekoppelde rondboogvensters. Boven de openslaande vensters is het bovenlicht met straalverdeling geplaatst. De gepleisterde omlijsting is geprofileerd. Rechts is een erker met afgeschuinde zijden en rondboogramen. De begane grond is tussen plint en geprofileerde cordonlijst geblokt gepleisterd. De verdieping is glad gepleisterd.
De vensters op de verdieping hebben dezelfde indeling maar een andere omlijsting met wenkbrauwbogen. Tussen de rondbogen van de twee vensters zijn zeer grote barokke kuiven gezet. In de uitgebouwde rechter travee bevindt zich in de rechtergevel de entree.
Zowel voor als achter het huis bevindt zich een tuin met diverse grote loofbomen, geplant in de bouwtijd van het huis.
Waardering
De villa is van algemeen belang. Zij heeft cultuurhistorische waarden als voorbeeld van de sociaal-economische ontwikkeling van de industrialisatie in oostelijk Noord-Brabant, in het bijzonder de ontwikkleing van een ook op landelijk niveau prominente industrialisatie-as aan de Zuid-Willemsvaart. Zij heeft architectuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van de wijze waarop de eclectische motieven worden gebruikt om de representatiegraad van de burgerij en de fabrikanten te verhogen. The two-storey villa has three broad window bays and a hipped roof with red improved Dutch roof tiles. The ridge stands perpendicular to the street. The right bay has a flat roof. The right facade is partly connected with the villa at number 85 built in 1890. The building has a basement storey. The villa is plastered and painted white. Above the smooth plinth are the string course and the sills of the coupled round-arch windows. Above the opening windows is the fanlight with radial glazing bars placed. The plastered surround is moulded. On the right is a bay window with bevelled sides and round-arch windows. The ground floor is between plinth and moulded string course jointed-plastered. The storey is smoothly plastered.
The windows on the storey have the same division but a different surround with eyebrow arches. Between the round arches of the two windows are very large baroque scroll pediments placed. In the built-out right bay is the entrance in the right facade.
Both in front of and behind the house is a garden with various large deciduous trees, planted at the time of construction of the house.

The villa is of general interest.
