Inleiding
In 1892 opgetrokken eclectische VILLA met in 1902 aangebouwd koetshuis in neo-renaissancestijl met een ruime, parkachtige voor- en achtertuin. Het mansardedak met topgevel en oeil-de-boeufs is kort na 1945 bij brand verloren gegaan.
Beschrijving
De villa telt twee bouwlagen en is opgetrokken uit machinale baksteen. De voorgevel heeft gepleisterde hoekblokken en een middenrisaliet met ingang. Cordonlijsten onder de ramen van begane grond en verdieping bewerkstelligen een horizontale indeling. De lijst op de etage heeft een tandlijst in gele baksteen. De T-ramen hebben getoogde rollagen met sluitstenen, op de begane grond met voluten. Dubbele voordeur met rijk gedetailleerde renaissance-paneeldeuren met siersmeedwerk. De kroonlijst rust op voluten, ertussen bevinden zich vijf velden met het jaartal en rankmotieven. In de zij- en achtergevels getoogde T-ramen en aan de achterzijde een aangebouwde serre met plat dak. Aan de linkerzijde een in 1902 aangebouwd koetshuis van baksteen met speklagen onder leien schilddak met dakkapel.
Boven de gewijzigde dubbele deur een ontlastingsboog met siermetselwerk en een kroonlijst op voluutconsoles. Balustrade met jaarsteen. Inwendig middengang met marmeren vloer, tochtdeuren met mousselineglas en geëtst glas. In de kamer-en-suite twee schoorsteenmantels met spiegel in renaissance-omlijsting. In beide schoorsteenmantels de originele laat-negentiende-eeuwse kachels. In de keuken de oorspronkelijke veelkleurige tegelvloer.
Voor het huis een tuin met oudere bomen, achter het huis een diepe parkachtige tuin met beukenbomen.
Waardering
De rijk gedetailleerde villa met tuin is van algemeen belang.
Het pand heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van de sociaal-economische ontwikkeling, namelijk de stichting van rijk gedetailleerde woningen voor de dorpse elite; het is tevens van belang als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van het woonhuis. Het object is van architectuurhistorisch belang door de stijl en detaillering.

The villa has two storeys and is constructed of machine-made brick. The front facade has rendered corner blocks and a central risalit with entrance. Stringcourses beneath the windows of ground floor and first floor create a horizontal division. The course on the storey has a dentil course in yellow brick. The T-windows have arched roll-mouldings with keystones, on the ground floor with volutes. Double front door with richly detailed renaissance panel doors with ornamental ironwork. The cornice rests on volutes, between which are five fields with the year and foliate motifs. In the side and rear facades arched T-windows and on the rear side an attached conservatory with flat roof. On the left side a carriage house of brick built in 1902 with brick courses under slate hipped roof with dormer window.
Above the altered double door a relieving arch with ornamental brickwork and a cornice on volute consoles. Balustrade with year stone. Internally a central corridor with marble floor, draught doors with muslin glass and etched glass. In the suite of rooms two chimney-pieces with mirror in renaissance frame. In both chimney-pieces the original late nineteenth-century stoves. In the kitchen the original multicoloured tile floor.
In front of the house a garden with mature trees, behind the house a deep park-like garden with beech trees.
