Inleiding
OPHAALBRUG over de Doezumertocht, geconstrueerd in 1930. De brug werd in 1973 vernield door een aanrijding. Ze is toen in oorspronkelijke staat hersteld.
De brug is markant gelegen in de Peebos ten westen van het dorp Doezum.

IJzeren OPHAALBRUG met een hameipoort van geklonken ijzer, bestaande uit twee hameistijlen (DIN-balken), gekoppeld door een geklonken dwarsbalk waarop het bouwjaar 1930; vakwerkbalanspriemen met ijzeren spanwerk en gewichtkoker, geklonken langsschoren steunend op gietstukken, dubbele trekstangen; aan de noordelijke hameistijl een ijzeren bedieningskast met heugelstang. Het houten brugdek met een ijzeren grendel op ijzeren INP-liggers, heeft ronde ijzeren leuningen (twee regels) verbonden door twee kettingen; op de leuningen een ijzeren driehoeksconstructie. De brug rust op betonnen landhoofden en heeft rond de noordelijke hameistijl een betonnen plateau met ijzeren hek van hoekprofielen. Op de overgang van brug- naar wegdek ijzeren leuningen met regels en stijlen van hoekprofiel.

Iron DRAW BRIDGE with a gantry frame of riveted iron, consisting of two gantry columns (DIN beams), coupled by a riveted crossbeam on which the year 1930; lattice bracing beams with iron bracing and weight box, riveted longitudinal ties bearing on cast iron components, double tension rods; on the northern gantry column an iron operating box with operating rod. The wooden bridge deck with an iron bolt on iron INP beams, has round iron railings (two rails) connected by two chains; on the railings an iron triangular construction. The bridge rests on concrete abutments and has around the northern gantry column a concrete platform with iron railing of angle profiles. On the transition from bridge to road deck iron railings with rails and uprights of angle profile.
