Omschrijving
Het WOONHUIS van één bouwlaag op rechthoekige plattegrond met afgesnoten hoeken heeft een afgeknot schilddak gedekt met zwarte Lucas IJsbrandspannen en aan de bovenzijde voorzien van een geprofileerde lijst. Kleine houten dakkapellen met pilasters en frontonbekroning in de zijschilden van het dak. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in bruine baksteen boven een in blokken gepleisterde plint.
De symmetrische voorgevel heeft een middenrisaliet en speklagen die net als de doorlopende onderdorpels van de vensters wit geschilderd zijn; houten fries onder een uitkragende kroonlijst; eenvoudige houten attiek. De wanden van de segmentboogportiek in het middenrisaliet zijn betegeld en op het tongewelf is een hemel met wolken geschilderd. De geverniste eikenhouten dubbele paneeldeur is rijk gedecoreerd en heeft een segmentboogvormig bovenlicht. Aan weerszijden van de entree aan elke kant drie vensters met bovenlicht onder segmentboog strekken met gepleisterde en geschilderde aanzet- en sluitstenen; in de boogtrommels en op een gepleisterd veld boven de portiek Art Nouveau stucdecoraties. Boven de entree is een gemetselde kajuit met witte speklagen onder plat dak met kroonlijst. De vensterpartij met openslaande ramen heeft een segmentboog strek.
In de zijgevels van het huis bevinden zich blinde vensterpartijen met dezelfde detaillering als in de voorgevel. Tegen de achtergevel staat een met zink beklede luifel op houten kolommen waaronder openslaande paneeldeuren.
Het INTERIEUR van het huis is nog grotendeels intact. Het plafond van de gang heeft een rozet van houtsnijwerk en is met geometrische patronen beschilderd; in de voorkamers plafonds met geometrisch geprofileerd lijstwerk, zwart marmeren schoorsteenmantels en gedeeltelijk vensterbanken en luiken.
Waardering
Het woonhuis uit 1909 is van algemeen cultuur- en architectuurhistorisch belang:
- vanwege de bouwstijl, waarin Eclectische en Art Nouveau elementen zijn toegepast;
- vanwege de detaillering in ornamentiek;

The DWELLING HOUSE of one storey on a rectangular ground plan with cut-off corners has a truncated hipped roof covered with black Lucas IJsbrands tiles and provided at the top with a moulded cornice. Small wooden roof dormers with pilasters and pediment crowning in the side hips of the roof. The facades are constructed in brown brick above a plinth rendered in blocks.
The symmetrical front facade has a central risalit and mortar joints painted white like the continuous window sills of the windows; wooden frieze under a projecting cornice; simple wooden attic. The walls of the segmental arch portico in the central risalit are tiled and on the barrel vault is a heaven with clouds painted. The varnished oak double panelled door is richly decorated and has a segmental arch-shaped fanlight. On either side of the entrance on each side three windows with fanlight under segmental arch stretches with rendered and painted impost and voussoir stones; in the arch rings and on a rendered field above the portico Art Nouveau stucco decorations. Above the entrance is a mortared cabin with white mortar joints under a flat roof with cornice. The window arrangement with casement windows has a segmental arch stretch.
In the side facades of the house are blind window arrangements with the same detailing as in the front facade. Against the rear facade stands a zinc-clad canopy on wooden columns beneath which are casement panelled doors.
The INTERIOR of the house is still largely intact. The ceiling of the corridor has a carved wooden rose and is painted with geometric patterns; in the front rooms ceilings with geometrically profiled moulding, black marble fireplace surrounds and partially window seats and shutters.
Valuation
The dwelling house from 1909 is of general cultural and architectural historical importance:
- due to the building style, in which Eclectic and Art Nouveau elements are applied;
- due to the detailing in ornamentation;
- due to the fairly high degree of integrity of both interior and exterior;
- due to the image-forming function for the appearance of Oentsjerk.
