Inleiding:
Voormalige WOLLENDEKENFABRIEK van P. de Wit uit 1913. De fabriek bestaat uit twee gebouwen. Een op vierkante plattegrond onder twaalf sheddaken (gebouw I) en het langwerpige fabrieksgebouw hier ten noorden van onder platdak (gebouw II), waarin voorheen het ketelhuis gevestigd was. Beide liggen met de zuidwest gevel aan de Parallelweg onderling gescheiden door een straat (voormalige eigen fabrieksstraat). Deze ligt loodrecht op de Parallelweg.

Gebouw I van de fabriek is twee traveeën breed en acht diep. De overkapping bestaat uit twaalf sheddaken met de nokrichting loodrecht op de straat, gedragen door stalen I-profielen op kolommen. De buitenmuren zijn uitgevoerd in machinale baksteen gemetseld in kruisverband. De voorgevel aan de straat heeft twaalf traveeën met vierkante negenruits vensters, waarboven even zovele gietijzeren rondvensters met geometrische roedenverdeling ter hoogte van de shedconstructie. Het geheel heeft een getrapte pilasterbekroning met diamantkop. In de architectuur van de gevel is subtiel de achterliggende shedvorm(zaagtand) van het dak aangegeven. Het geheel heeft een fraaie ritmiek.
Op twee gevelstenen de tekst “anno” en “1913”.
Gebouw II heeft een platdak met een pilastergevel en bekroning aan de straat.

Former WOOLLEN CLOTH FACTORY of P. de Wit from 1913. The factory consists of two buildings. One on a square plan under twelve shed roofs (building I) and the elongated factory building to the north under a flat roof (building II), in which the boiler house was formerly located. Both have their southwest facade facing Parallelweg separated from each other by a street (former factory's own street). This runs perpendicular to Parallelweg.
Description:
Building I of the factory is two bays wide and eight deep. The covering consists of twelve shed roofs with the ridge direction perpendicular to the street, supported by steel I-section beams on columns. The external walls are constructed of machine-made brick laid in cross bond. The front facade facing the street has twelve bays with square nine-pane windows, above which are an equal number of cast-iron round windows with geometric glazing bars at the height of the shed structure. The whole has a stepped pilaster cornice with diamond head. In the architecture of the facade, the underlying shed form (sawtooth) of the roof is subtly indicated. The whole has fine rhythm.
