Inleiding
FABRIEKSSCHOORSTEEN op het terrein van de rond 1920 gerealiseerde Koninklijke StoomBleekerij Nijverdal aan de Campbellweg in Nijverdal. De fabrieksgebouwen op het terrein zijn zodanig gewijzigd dat deze voor bescherming van ondergeschikt belang zijn. De schoorsteen domineert het Reggedal ter plaatse en verbeeldt op bijzondere wijze de naam van Nijverdal.
Omschrijving
In rode baksteen opgetrokken schoorsteen vanuit een ronde plattegrond, waarbij de doorsnede aan de onderzijde breder is dan aan de bovenzijde in verband met de stabiliteit. In de voet van de pijp een ingang met stalen deur onder dubbele rollaag. Boven een cordonlijst is de pijp voorzien van regelmatig geplaatste ijzeren banden. Over de gehele lengte zijn klimijzers aangebracht voor inspectie en reparatie. In de bovenste helft is met witte steen 'Kon. Stoom Bleek.' ingemetseld.

De fabrieksschoorsteen is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch en stedenbouwkundig belang:

FACTORY CHIMNEY on the site of the Koninklijke StoomBleekerij Nijverdal (Royal Steam Bleachery Nijverdal) realised around 1920 at the Campbellweg in Nijverdal. The factory buildings on the site have been altered to such an extent that they are of subordinate importance for protection. The chimney dominates the Reggedal in this location and embodies the name of Nijverdal in a special way.
Description
Chimney constructed of red brick from a circular ground plan, whereby the cross-section at the base is wider than at the top due to stability. In the foot of the stack an entrance with steel door beneath a double roller course. Above a drip moulding the stack is provided with regularly spaced iron bands. Climbing irons are fitted over the entire length for inspection and repair. In the upper half 'Kon. Stoom Bleek.' is mortared in with white stone.
Valuation
The factory chimney is of general cultural-historical and urban-planning importance:
