Omschrijving
Omschrijving Het KANTOOR uit 1913, behorende tot het fabriekscomplex en hierin opgenomen, is opgetrokken in rode baksteen op een rechthoekige plattegrond. Centraal is het pand twee bouwlagen hoog en wordt het overkapt door een afgeknot schilddak met leien in Rijndekking en een overstekende goot op klampen. Onder de goot is met rode verblendsteen en wit pleisterwerk een fries aangebracht. De voorgevel telt zes vensterassen. De rechtgesloten vensters met bovenlichten zijn geplaatst onder segmentbogen van rode verblendsteen met abstracte tegeltableaus in de boogtrommels. De derde as van links is hoog opgetrokken en risaleert. Op de begane grond van het risaliet bevindt zich de ingang; een dubbele paneeldeur met lijsten in vloeiende lijnen en geslepen glas onder een bovenlicht in een hardstenen omlijsting met basreliëfs. De segmentboogvormige afsluiting heeft bij de deur twee gepleisterde aanzetstenen. Het venster boven de ingang wordt geflankeerd door twee hoeklisenen met witte verblendstenen stroken. De lisenen rusten op hardstenen consoles en worden beëindigd door twee als kantelen opgemetselde pinakels met hardstenen afdekplaten, waartussen een gemetselde balustrade. In de meest rechtse vensteras eveneens een paneeldeur met lijsten in vloeiende lijnen en geslepen glas onder een bovenlicht. Tussen de deur en het bovenlicht een hardstenen latei met basreliëf. Links en rechts van het risaliet zijn tweeruits dakkapellen onder opgelichte dakvlakken gecreëerd.
In de hal zijn onder meer de lambriseringen bewaard, vervaardigd uit Art Nouveau tegels, en de tochtdeur met geëtst glas, waarin wapens zijn afgebeeld.
Aan de beide zijden wordt het kantoor ingeklemd tussen bebouwing, de bebouwing aan de rechterzijde dateert uit 1947 en die aan de linkerzijde is ouder. De achterzijde van het kantoor staat in verbinding met de fabriekshallen, hetgeen altijd het geval is geweest.

Description
Description The OFFICE from 1913, belonging to the factory complex and incorporated in it, is built in red brick on a rectangular ground plan. Centrally the building is two storeys high and is covered by a truncated hipped roof with slates in German bond and an overhanging gutter on cleats. Below the gutter a frieze has been applied with red brick and white plasterwork. The front facade has six window axes. The rectangular windows with fanlights are placed under segmental arches of red brick with abstract tile tableaux in the arch vousoirs. The third axis from the left is drawn up high and projects forward. On the ground floor of the projection is the entrance; a double panel door with mouldings in flowing lines and cut glass under a fanlight in a limestone surround with bas-reliefs. The segmental arch closure has two plastered ashlar stones at the door. The window above the entrance is flanked by two corner pilasters with white brick stripes. The pilasters rest on limestone consoles and are terminated by two crenellations with limestone capping plates, between which a brick balustrade. In the rightmost window axis likewise a panel door with mouldings in flowing lines and cut glass under a fanlight. Between the door and the fanlight a limestone lintel with bas-relief. To the left and right of the projection are two-light roof dormers under raised roof planes.
In the hall are among others the wainscotings preserved, made of Art Nouveau tiles, and the draught door with etched glass, in which coats of arms are depicted.
On both sides the office is wedged in between buildings, the building on the right side dates from 1947 and that on the left side is older. The rear of the office connects to the factory halls, which has always been the case.
Valuation The office is of general cultural, architectural historical and urban planning significance because of:
- the social and economic importance of the textile factory;
- the fact that the textile factory positively influenced the emergence and development of Nijverdal;
- the Art Nouveau detailing of various components;
- the spatial and functional coherence with the factory halls and the boiler house;
- the integrity of the front facade and the hall.
