Inleiding
In oorsprong was het mogelijk een buitenplaats, die echter al lang bekend staat als hofstede onder de naam "Ringgraaf". Het betreft een in de Achthovenpolder gesitueerde veeboerderij van het type halleboerderij met voerdeel, welke kenmerkend is voor de boerderijbouw in Rijnland. De huidige boerderij is in 1886 gebouwd in opdracht van de familie Van Zwieten, nadat de voorganger van de hoeve door brand grotendeels was verwoest. Het oprijpad ten oosten van de boerderij is toegankelijk via een TOEGANGSHEK met HEKPIJLERS, vormgegeven in Eclectische trant uit het laatste kwart van de 19de eeuw.

Originally it may have been a country estate, but it has long been known as a farmstead under the name "Ringgraaf". It is a cattle farm situated in the Achthovenpolder of the type hall farmhouse with forecourt, which is characteristic of farmstead construction in Rijnland. Two plastered gate piers with remnants of the original paintwork, consisting of a basement, shaft with recessed panels, frieze in which the name of the farmstead 'Ring' 'Graaf' is indicated in high relief, crowned by a pyramid-shaped capital.
