Inleiding
In oorsprong was het mogelijk een buitenplaats, die echter al lang bekend staat als hofstede onder de naam "Ringgraaf". Het betreft een in de Achthovenpolder gesitueerde veeboerderij van het type halleboerderij met voerdeel, welke kenmerkend is voor de ontwikkeling van de boerderijbouw in Rijnland. De huidige boerderij is in 1886 gebouwd in opdracht van de familie Van Zwieten, nadat de voorganger van de hoeve door brand grotendeels was verwoest. Op het achtererf staat een omstreeks 1925 geplaatste, in een Ambachtelijk-Traditionele stijl gebouwde, vierroedige HOOIBERG.
Omschrijving
Vierroedige hooiberg onder een opvijzelbaar tentdak van golfplaat heeft vier ijzeren roeden, voorzien van katrollen voor het opvijzelen van de kap.

De hooiberg is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als karakteristiek, als zodanig herkenbaar element op het boerenerf. Originally it may have been a country estate, but it has long been known as a farmstead under the name "Ringgraaf". It is a cattle farm situated in the Achthovenpolder of the hall farmhouse type with voerdeel, which is characteristic of farmhouse development in Rijnland.
