Inleiding
Voormalige PASTORIE, gebouwd in 1865 in eclectische trant door architect P.J. Hamer uit Amsterdam, tegelijk met een naastgelegen kerk met toren. De kerk werd in 1959 door brand verwoest, de pastorie bleef gespaard. De pastorie ligt in de Purmerbuurt, bij het wegenkruis van de Westerweg en de Purmerenderweg en vormt het restant van de eerste kerkelijke stichting in polder De Purmer.
Omschrijving
De voormalige pastorie is gebouwd op rechthoekige plattegrond en werd opgetrokken over twee bouwlagen onder zadeldak met de nok evenwijdig aan de Westerweg. Het perceel wordt driezijdig door een grenssloot omgeven. De bakstenen gevels zijn met grauwe pleister afgewerkt en hebben een lage voet. De voor- en achtergevel hebben een kroonlijst en forse, geprofileerde gootlijst.
De symmetrische voorgevel (west) heeft in een middenrisaliet de entree die boven enkele hardstenen treden bestaat uit deur en bovenlicht gevat in een vlakke omlijsting. Op de verdieping een venster met wenkbrauw. Aan weerszijden zijn op begane grond en verdieping twee gekoppelde 6-ruits vensters aangebracht met gebogen bovenlijst; de benedendelen zijn ofwel opschuifbaar ofwel draaiend.
De zijgevels (noord en zuid) bevatten tweemaal drie vensters als aan voorzijde of blindnissen.
De achtergevel (oost) is opgezet als aan voorzijde.
Het zadeldak is gevat tussen de tuitgevels en is gedekt met gesmoorde oudhollandse pannen. In de as van voor- en achtergevel is een met zink gedekte dakkapel aangebracht en gemetselde schoorstenen bevinden zich op beide nokhoeken.
Waardering
De voormalige pastorie is van algemeen belang uit architectuurhistorisch oogpunt als gave, ruim opgezette pastorie uit het derde kwart van de 19de eeuw. Van cultuurhistorische waarde is de pastorie als onderdeel van de eerste kerkelijke stichting in de Purmer.

Introduction
Former RECTORY, built in 1865 in eclectic style by architect P.J. Hamer from Amsterdam, together with an adjacent church with tower. The church was destroyed by fire in 1959, the rectory was spared. The rectory is located in the Purmerbuurt, at the road junction of the Westerweg and the Purmerenderweg and forms the remains of the first ecclesiastical foundation in polder De Purmer.
Description
The former rectory is built on a rectangular floor plan and was erected over two storeys under a gabled roof with the ridge parallel to the Westerweg. The plot is surrounded by a boundary ditch on three sides. The brick facades are finished with grey plaster and have a low base. The front and rear facades have a cornice and substantial, profiled gutter moulding.
The symmetrical front facade (west) has in a central risalit the entrance which above several stone steps consists of a door and fanlight set in a flat frame. On the first floor a window with eyebrow moulding. On either side are on ground floor and first floor two coupled 6-pane windows fitted with curved upper moulding; the lower parts are either sash windows or casement windows.
The side facades (north and south) contain three times two windows as on the front side or blind recesses.
The rear facade (east) is set out as on the front side.
The gabled roof is set between the spout gables and is covered with dark old Dutch tiles. In the axis of front and rear facade a roof dormer covered with zinc is fitted and rendered chimneys are located at both ridge corners.
Valuation
The former rectory is of general importance from an architectural-historical perspective as a fine, spaciously laid-out rectory from the third quarter of the 19th century. Of cultural-historical value is the rectory as part of the first ecclesiastical foundation in the Purmer.
