Inleiding
Op het Kampereiland, een oud poldergebied, ligt langs een voormalige kleine dijk een BRUG EN UITWATERINGSSLUIS uit 1880. De brug maakt deel uit van een sequentie van werken op het Kampereiland die de ontwatering van de polders regelden en het eiland ontsloten. De sluisdeuren dateren van 1924.
Beschrijving
Bakstenen brug annex sluis met houten sluisdeuren. Aan de zuidkant bestaat de brug uit een dubbele rondboog, met daarop aansluitende aflopende vleugelmuren. Aan de andere zijde bevinden zich sluisdeuren onder een houten latei en een gevelsteen met het bouwjaar 1880. In de aangrenzende vleugelmuren zijn voor de sluisdeuren schutbalksponningen aangebracht.

On the Kampereiland, an old polder area, there stands along a former small dike a BRIDGE AND DRAINAGE SLUICE from 1880. The bridge is part of a sequence of works on the Kampereiland that regulated the drainage of the polders and provided access to the island. The sluice gates date from 1924.
Description
Brick bridge together with sluice with wooden sluice gates. On the south side the bridge consists of a double round arch, with adjoining sloping wing walls. On the other side are sluice gates under a wooden lintel and a facade stone with the building year 1880. In the adjoining wing walls, sluice-beam slots have been inserted in front of the sluice gates.
