Inleiding
Op het Kampereiland, een oud poldergebied, ligt langs een voormalige kleine dijk een UITWATERINGSSLUIS uit de negentiende eeuw. De brug maakt deel uit van een sequentie van werken op het Kampereiland die de ontwatering van de polders regelden.
Omschrijving
Bakstenen sluisje met smeedijzeren sluisdeuren. De sluis bestaat uit een rechtopgaande keermuur, met aflopende vleugelmuren. De smeedijzeren sluisdeuren worden bediend via een heugelstang aan een tandwielkast, die op een ijzeren H-balk boven de keermuur is bevestigd.

Brick sluice with wrought-iron sluice gates. The sluice consists of an upright retaining wall, with sloping wing walls. The wrought-iron sluice gates are operated via a hinge rod on a gearbox, which is fastened on an iron H-beam above the retaining wall.
