Omschrijving onderdeel 10: KAPBERG (De Oude Molen 5).
De KAPBERG bevindt zich ten zuiden van de koestal en wagenschuur. Het object is gelegen op het voorterrein van het complex.
De kapberg kwam in 1913 tot stand naar het ontwerp van B.J. Ouendag. Sinds de herbestemming van het complex aan het eind van de twintigste eeuw is in de gebouwen een restaurant gevestigd. Hiervoor is de kapberg geheel vernieuwd en intern van een serre voorzien.
Omschrijving
De kapberg bezit een zeszijdig dak dat met golfplaten is bekleed en op drie ijzeren stijlen rust. Onder het dak is een groot, glazen volume geplaatst dat dienst doet als eetzaal voor het restaurant.
Waardering
De KAPBERG is van algemeen belang:
- als historisch functioneel onderdeel van het complex springstoffenfabriek bij Ouderkerk aan de Amstel;
- uit cultuurhistorisch en architectuurhistorisch oogpunt als kapberg bij de kruitfabriek;

The KAPBERG is located to the south of the cowshed and cart shed. The object is situated on the forecourt of the complex.
The kapberg was constructed in 1913 according to a design by B.J. Ouendag. Since the conversion of the complex at the end of the twentieth century, a restaurant has been established in the buildings. For this purpose the kapberg has been completely renovated and internally fitted with a conservatory.
Description
The kapberg has a six-sided roof that is clad with corrugated sheets and rests on three iron posts. Beneath the roof a large glazed volume has been placed which serves as a dining room for the restaurant.
Valuation
The KAPBERG is of general importance:
- as a historically functional component of the explosives factory complex at Ouderkerk aan de Amstel;
- from a cultural-historical and architectural-historical perspective as a kapberg at the gunpowder factory;
