Omschrijving onderdeel 9: KOESTAL en WAGENSCHUUR (De Oude Molen 5).
Inleiding
De KOESTAL en WAGENSCHUUR liggen in het verlengde van de zuidvleugel van de oude buskruitmolen. De objecten zijn gelegen op het voorterrein van het complex. De koestal en wagenschuur kwamen in 1913 tot stand naar het ontwerp van B.J. Ouendag. Sinds de herbestemming van het complex aan het eind van de twintigste eeuw is in de gebouwen een restaurant gevestigd. Hiervoor zijn de koestal en wagenschuur aan de zuidzijde uitgebreid en intern gewijzigd.
Omschrijving
De koestal sluit aan de oostzijde aan op de oudere bebouwing van de achttiende-eeuwse buskruitmolen. Aan de westzijde van de koestal bevindt zich de wagenschuur. De koestal heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en wordt gedekt door een plat dak. De in grauwe, machinaal gefabriceerde bakstenen opgetrokken voorgevel wordt in vijf vakken geleed door lisenen en is van links naar rechts voorzien van een gedeelde deur, drie rechthoekige stalvensters, een gedeelde deur, drie stalvensters en een gedeelte deur. Aan de achterzijde van de koestal zijn een glazen serre en een spoelkeuken aangebouwd. Het exterieur van de spoelkeuken is met houten delen bekleed.
De wagenschuur bezit topgevels waartussen een zadeldak met gesmoorde kruispannen is opgenomen. In de voorgevel is de oorspronkelijke indeling verdwenen. Thans kent de gevel een fors vierkant venster met schuifdeuren aan hangrails. Daarboven bevinden zich vier gekoppelde bovenlichten met de naam van het restaurant erop.
Waardering
De KOESTAL en WAGENSCHUUR zijn van algemeen belang:
- als historisch functionele onderdelen van het complex springstoffenfabriek bij Ouderkerk aan de Amstel;
- uit cultuurhistorisch en architectuurhistorisch oogpunt als stal en stalling bij de kruitfabriek;

Introduction
The CATTLE SHED and CARRIAGE HOUSE are in line with the south wing of the old gunpowder mill. The objects are located on the front grounds of the complex. The cattle shed and carriage house were completed in 1913 according to the design of B.J. Ouendag. Since the conversion of the complex at the end of the twentieth century, a restaurant has been established in the buildings. For this purpose the cattle shed and carriage house have been extended on the south side and internally modified.
Description
The cattle shed adjoins the older buildings of the eighteenth-century gunpowder mill on the east side. On the west side of the cattle shed is the carriage house. The cattle shed has a rectangular plan and is covered by a flat roof. The front façade, built in grey, machine-manufactured bricks, is divided into five sections by pilasters and is arranged from left to right with a shared door, three rectangular stable windows, a shared door, three stable windows and a shared door. On the rear side of the cattle shed are attached a glass conservatory and a scullery. The exterior of the scullery is clad with wooden elements.
The carriage house has gable ends between which a gabled roof covered with interlocking tiles is incorporated. In the front façade the original arrangement has disappeared.
