Op de kaart nr. 1

HOOFDGEBOUW (Slotzicht).

- vanwege het in oorsprong 18de-eeuwse hoofdgebouw dat in verschillende bouwfasen is uitgebreid;

- vanwege de architectonische vormgeving van de frontpartij uit 1808;

- vanwege het vroeg 19de-eeuwse stucwerk in het interieur;

- vanwege de beeldbepalende ligging aan de Vecht;

On map no. 1

MAIN BUILDING (Slotzicht). Whitewashed main building on a T-shaped plan constructed in various building phases. Oldest part from 1735-1736 (central section); the rear part was added in the 18th century and the front part in 1808 (see carved mark in hoisting beam above a roof dormer '1808 W.BOES'). The rectangular front section bordering the Vecht, from 1808, consists of one storey with false joints in the render and an attic. Standing on a natural stone plinth beneath a mansard roof covered with Tuile du Nord tiles. On the ridge two whitewashed chimneys with an iron ornamental crown. The symmetrical five-bay front facade has a six-pane sash window with blinds on the ground floor and a two-pane window in the attic. Above each window on the ground floor a rectangular panel containing a stucco garland. Centrally in the facade the slightly projecting central section with double glazed garden door topped by a canopy supported by four cast-iron columns, which stand on a hard-stone flight of four steps. Above this in the attic a round-arched window with decorated wooden surround. In both side facades one bay of windows similar to the bays in the front facade. The central part, originally under two gabled roofs with a hidden gutter, now has a flattened gabled roof covered with Tuile du Nord tiles. The two stepped gables can still be seen through the render (the western half constitutes the oldest part from the middle of the eighteenth century). The side facades have an irregular window arrangement. Against the northern side facade a rectangular extension, which was remodelled in 1965. In 1994 a round glazed conservatory was built against the southern side facade, which is of subsidiary significance for protection purposes. In the eastern roof gable a roof dormer with a round window. The narrow rectangular rear extension is two storeys high beneath a flat roof along which runs a wooden balustrade. The three-bay rear facade has a symmetrical arrangement of twelve-pane sash windows with blinds and centrally the framed wooden entrance door. The plan of the INTERIOR is determined by the long corridor (east-west) with various rooms on either side, including the reception room in the oldest part of the house. Of significance are the two rooms in the front section from the beginning of the nineteenth century with in the northern room a stucco ceiling decorated with musical motifs and a white marble fireplace in Empire style and in the southern room, whose corners are rounded, a stucco ceiling in Biedermeier style (as well as in the intermediate corridor) and a beige limestone fireplace from c.1880.

Valuation MAIN BUILDING of general importance:

- because of the main building originally from the 18th century which has been extended in various building phases;

- because of the architectural design of the front section from 1808;

- because of the early 19th-century stuccowork in the interior;

- because of the visually prominent location on the Vecht;

- because of the functional-spatial relationship with the other components of the country estate.
