TUINBEELD OP SOKKEL: 'HERCULES'. Natuurstenen tuinbeeld, Hercules (Cressant), datering ca. 1740-1750 op bijpassende sokkel. Het beeld is gesigneerd door J. Gilles, het bijbehorende beeld 'Flora' of 'Diana' (onderdeel 16) is waarschijnlijk van dezelfde hand. Mogelijk afkomstig van de buitenplaats Zijdebalen en in 1820 voor de buitenplaats De Tempel aangekocht door de familie Criellaert. Het beeld staat thans (1997) aan de achterzijde van het huis De Tempel.

GARDEN SCULPTURE ON PLINTH: 'HERCULES'. Stone garden sculpture, Hercules (Cressant), dating c. 1740-1750 on matching plinth. The sculpture is signed by J. Gilles, the related sculpture 'Flora' or 'Diana' (component 16) is probably by the same hand. Possibly originating from the country estate Zijdebalen and purchased in 1820 for the country estate De Tempel by the Criellaert family. The sculpture currently stands (1997) at the rear of the house De Tempel.
