DIENSTWONING 'DE OUDE MOLEN'. Ten oosten van de oprijlaan staat een witgepleisterde dienstwoning uit 1913 met het aanzien van een langhuisboerderij, dat in historiserende stijl door de gebroeders Van der Wielen uit Cothen in opdracht van de toenmalige eigenaar J.A.W. Luden is gebouwd. De naam verwijst naar een molen, die tot 1770 op deze plaats (nr.9-11 en 5-7) heeft gestaan. Oorspronkelijk een dubbele woning die in 1995-1996 tot één woning is verbouwd. Het op rechthoekige grondslag opgetrokken pand met donkere plint bestaat uit één bouwlaag en een kapverdieping onder een met vernieuwde Hollandse pannen gedekt zadeldak met wolfseinden. De symmetrische voorgevel heeft drie vensterassen met roedenschuifvensters voorzien van halve luiken. Op de verdieping is een identiek venster van een kleiner formaat aangebracht. Description
SERVICE DWELLING 'DE OUDE MOLEN'. To the east of the driveway stands a whitewashed service dwelling from 1913 with the appearance of a longhouse farmhouse, which was built in historicizing style by the brothers Van der Wielen from Cothen on behalf of the then owner J.A.W. Luden. The name refers to a mill, which stood at this location (nr.9-11 and 5-7) until 1770. Originally a double dwelling which was converted into a single dwelling in 1995-1996. The building, drawn up on a rectangular ground plan with dark plinth, consists of one storey and a roof storey under a gabled roof covered with renewed Dutch tiles with half-hipped ends. The symmetrical front facade has three window bays with glazing bar sash windows provided with half shutters. On the upper storey an identical window of smaller size is arranged.
