Inleiding
Gietijzeren STEEKTRAP over - en deels in - de Noorddijk leidend naar het polderhuis van de Beemsterpolder. De rechte trap ligt in de centrale as van het polderhuis en dateert mogelijk uit de periode rond 1880.
Omschrijving
Gedecoreerde gietijzeren steektrap, bestaande uit bordes met aansluitend trapgedeelte van elf treden en een trede hoger plateau. De trap heeft aan beide zijden eenvoudige leuningen met gedecoreerde spijlen en balustervormige pijlers met pijnappelbekroning. De draagconstructie bestaat uit H-profielen. De treden zijn van opengewerkt gietijzer.
Waardering
De laat-19de-eeuwse ijzeren steektrap over de Noorddijk is van algemeen belang wegens architectuur- en cultuurhistorische alsook typologische waarde als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het beschreven polderhuiscomplex van de Beemsterpolder.

Cast-iron EXTERNAL STAIR across and partly in the North Dike leading to the polder house of the Beemster Polder. The straight stair lies in the central axis of the polder house and possibly dates from the period around 1880.
Description
Decorated cast-iron external stair, consisting of a platform with adjoining stair section of eleven treads and a tread higher plateau. The stair has simple railings on both sides with decorated spindles and baluster-shaped pillars with pineapple finials. The supporting structure consists of H-profiles. The treads are of openwork cast iron.
Valuation
The late 19th-century iron external stair across the North Dike is of general importance due to its architectural and cultural historical as well as typological value as a historically-functional component of the described polder house complex of the Beemster Polder.
