Omschrijving
Op nagenoeg vierkant grondplan gebouwd STOLPSCHUUR van het Noordhollandse type onder schilddak met zwarte Hollandse pan en vierkante schoorsteen in het voorste dakschild. De inwendige houten draagconstructie is een vierkant met dekbalkgebinten zonder overstek. Aan de voorzijde (O) van het vierkant bevindt zich een knechtenkamer, aan de linkerzijde (Z) de dars en aan de achter - en rechterzijde van het vierkant de stal.
Het muurwerk is opgetrokken in rode baksteen en het wordt rondom afgesloten met een gladde houten goot op smeedijzeren gootbeugels. De goot is aan de voorzijde hoger en is daar als kroonlijst behandeld. De voorzijde (O) heeft links de darsdeur, uitgevoerd als dubbele paneeldeur met arcademotief en rechts daarvan twee zesruitsschuifvensters (knechtenkamer) en een opgeklampte deur met bovenlicht.
De rechterzijde (N) heeft drie kleine vierkante vierruits vensters en een opgeklampte deur met tweeruits bovenlicht ten behoeve van de lange regel. De linkerzijde heeft vier getoogde ijzeren stalvensters en een opgeklampte deur met bovenlicht ten behoeve van de dars. De achterzijde heeft links (N) een opgeklampte deur met bovenlicht en daarnaast drie kleine vierkante vierruits vensters ten behoeve van de korte regel. Lange en korte regel zijn evenals dars, tas en knechtenkamer nog in geheel oorspronkelijke staat bewaard gebleven.
Waardering
De uit 1877 daterende - in streek-eigen trant uitgevoerde stolpschuur is van algemeen belang wegens architectuur- en cultuurhistorische alsook typologische waarde als zeldzaam voorbeeld van een vrijstaande Noordhollandse schuur bij een vrijstaand woonhuis als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het boerderijcomplex Westerhem.

Description
A STOLPSCHUUR of the North Holland type built on an almost square ground plan under a hipped roof with black Dutch tile and a square chimney in the front roof shield. The internal wooden supporting structure is a square with collar tie trusses without overhang. At the front (E) of the square is a servant's room, on the left side (S) the threshing floor and at the rear and right side of the square the byre.
The masonry is built in red brick and is finished all around with a smooth wooden gutter on wrought-iron gutter brackets. The gutter is higher at the front and is treated there as a cornice. The front (E) has on the left the threshing floor door, executed as a double panelled door with arcade motif and to the right of it two six-pane sash windows (servant's room) and a clamped door with fanlight.
The right side (N) has three small square four-pane windows and a clamped door with two-pane fanlight for the purpose of the long axis. The left side has four arched iron byre windows and a clamped door with fanlight for the threshing floor. The rear side has on the left (N) a clamped door with fanlight and alongside it three small square four-pane windows for the short axis. Long and short axes are, as are threshing floor, tas and servant's room, still preserved in entirely original condition.
Valuation
The barn dating from 1877 - executed in the regional vernacular manner - is of general importance for its architectural and cultural-historical as well as typological value as a rare example of a detached North Holland barn at a detached dwelling house as a historically-functional component of the farmstead complex Westerhem.
