Inleiding
Bakstenen MUUR met enkele gedenkstenen, gebouwd omstreeks 1925, gesitueerd tussen het voormalige klooster aan de Brink (nr. 29) en de St. Janskerk aan de Brink (nr. 30) te Laren. Op de plaats waar de gedenkstenen in de muur zijn aangebracht stond de oude, uit 1844 daterende, St. Janskerk. De muur dateert uit omstreeks 1925 en bevat een gedenktsteen uit 1844, ingebed in een omlijstende gedenksteen uit 1925.
Omschrijving
Bakstenen muur ter hoogte van ruim twee meter, gemetseld in kettingverband en afgesloten door een tandlijst en ezelsrug. Op regelmatige afstand wordt het muurwerk versterkt door muurdammen. Nabij het klooster bevinden zich twee gedenkstenen: een hardstenen gedenksteen die is ingebed in een kalkstenen omlijsting. De hardsteen bevat de tekst "DE EERSTE STEEN GELEGD DOOR MEJUFFROUW DE WD C. VELTHUYSEN OP DEN 2 APRIL 1844", de kalkstenen omlijsting bevat de tekst "HIER STOND DE VROEGERE KERK VAN ST. JAN 1844 - 1925".

Brick WALL with several memorial stones, built approximately 1925, situated between the former convent on the Brink (no. 29) and the St. Janskerk on the Brink (no. 30) at Laren. The wall dates from approximately 1925 and contains a memorial stone from 1844, embedded in a framing memorial stone from 1925.
Description
Brick wall approximately over two metres high, built in running bond and terminated by a denticulated band and saddle-back finial. At regular intervals the brickwork is reinforced by wall buttresses. Near the convent are two memorial stones: a sandstone memorial stone which is embedded in a limestone frame. The sandstone contains the text "THE FIRST STONE LAID BY MISS THE WIDOW C. VELTHUYSEN ON 2 APRIL 1844", the limestone frame contains the text "HERE STOOD THE FORMER CHURCH OF ST. JAN 1844 - 1925".
