Omschrijving
Het BAKHUIS is links voor de boerderij gesitueerd, met de nokas evenwijdig aan de voorgevel van het voorhuis. Het bakhuisje bezit een nagenoeg vierkante plattegrond, is opgetrokken in baksteen en gemetseld met leem in kruisverband (behoudens de topgevels aan voor- en achterzijde die halfsteens zijn uitgevoerd). Voorgevel en de zijgevels ten dele, zijn witgeschilderd en voorzien van een grijs geschilderde plint. Het bakhuisje wordt door een zadeldak met gesmoorde oud Hollandse pan gedekt en bevat op de nok aan de achterzijde een schoorsteen. De zijgevels alsook de topgevels zijn voorzien van muurankers. In de VOORGEVEL komt naast de rechts geplaatste opgeklampte deur met weldorpel een klein vierruits draairaam voor. Beide zijn door een rollaag afgesloten. Het venster rust op een gecementeerde lekdorpel. In de door muurvlechtingen afgesloten topgevel die is voorzien van muurankers, komt ter hoogte van de zoldering een ventilatiegat voor. De LINKER ZIJGEVEL bevat enkel een getoogd gietijzeren vierruits raam onder een rollaag. De ACHTERGEVEL is blind uitgevoerd. De topgevel, die eveneens is voorzien van muurvlechtingen, eindigt in de hier aanwezige schoorsteen. In de RECHTER ZIJGEVEL komt evenals in de linker een venster voor dat evenwel bestaat uit een drieruits raam. In het INTERIEUR is de oven met vuurplaat gaaf bewaard. De stenen vloer is modern, de houten zoldering is oorspronkelijk.
Waardering
Het in baksteen en leem opgetrokken BAKHUISJE dateert vermoedelijk uit de bouwtijd van de boerderij.
- Van architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de uiterlijke verschijnings vorm van het in baksteen en leem opgetrokken bakstenen bakhuisje.
- Van stedenbouwkundige waarde vanwege de relatie met de boerderij en overige bijgebouwen. Boerderij en bijgebouwen hebben als ensemble een bijzondere betekenis voor het aanzien van dit noordelijke gedeelte van het dorp Wapenveld.
- Van cultuurhistorische waarde vanwege de oorsprong van de boerderij die tot in de 17de eeuw teruggaat en als pachtboerderij deel uitmaakte van het grondgebied van het verdwenen klooster Hulsbergen. De verschillende complex-onderdelen zijn eveneens van belang vanwege hun bestemming die verbonden is met een agrarische en economische ontwikkeling waarbij de functie van de boerderij aan de aanwezige bebouwing veelal is af te lezen.

Description
The BAKEHOUSE is situated to the left in front of the farmhouse, with the ridge running parallel to the front facade of the main house. The small bakehouse has an almost square floor plan, is constructed of brick and mortared with clay in cross bond (except for the gable ends at front and rear which are executed in half brick). Front facade and side facades in part are whitewashed and provided with a grey-painted plinth. The bakehouse is covered by a gabled roof with muted old Dutch tiles and contains on the ridge at the rear a chimney. The side facades as well as the gable ends are provided with wall anchors. In the FRONT FACADE, beside the door on the right with a stone threshold clamp there is a small four-pane casement window. Both are closed off by a roll moulding. The window rests on a cemented drip moulding. In the gable end enclosed by wall ties and provided with wall anchors, at the height of the loft there is a ventilation opening. The LEFT SIDE FACADE contains only an arched cast-iron four-pane window beneath a roll moulding. The REAR FACADE is blind. The gable end, which is likewise provided with wall ties, ends in the chimney present here. In the RIGHT SIDE FACADE there is, as in the left, a window which however consists of a three-pane window. In the INTERIOR the oven with firebox is preserved intact. The stone floor is modern, the wooden ceiling is original.
Assessment
The BAKEHOUSE constructed of brick and clay probably dates from the building period of the farmhouse.
- Of architectural historical value because of the external appearance of the bakehouse constructed of brick and clay.
- Of urban planning value because of the relationship with the farmhouse and other outbuildings. Farmhouse and outbuildings as an ensemble have a special significance for the character of this northern part of the village of Wapenveld.
- Of cultural historical value because of the origin of the farmhouse which dates back to the 17th century and as a tenant farmhouse formed part of the territory of the disappeared monastery Hulsbergen. The various complex components are likewise important because of their purpose which is connected with an agricultural and economic development whereby the function of the farmhouse is often readable from the existing buildings.
