Omschrijving
Granieten GEDENKNAALD samengesteld uit acht taps toelopende blokken op een rechte sokkel. De sokkel is aan drie zijden voorzien van reliëfs. Aan twee zijden mensen met attributen van de arbeid, aan de derde twee elkaar groetende mannen. Op de vierde zijde, boven het wapen van Nederland, de inscriptie: "1837 1915", "aan Gerrit Jan van Heek den schenker van dit park uit dankbaarheid gewijd door de ingezetenen van Enschede april 1922".

Description
Granite MEMORIAL NEEDLE composed of eight tapering blocks on a straight pedestal. The pedestal is provided with reliefs on three sides. On two sides people with attributes of labour, on the third two men greeting each other. On the fourth side, above the coat of arms of the Netherlands, the inscription: "1837 1915", "to Gerrit Jan van Heek the donor of this park dedicated in gratitude by the inhabitants of Enschede April 1922".
