Inleiding
De PASTORIE van de R.K. kerk, gewijd aan de H. Geest, is als onderdeel van het complex in 1934-'35 in Interbellum-architectuur gerealiseerd naar ontwerp van H.C.M. van Beers uit Huis ter Heide bij Zeist; hoofdaannemer was Jos Nyenhuis uit Arnhem. Het huis is met de kerk verbonden door een 'hals'. De recentelijke nieuwbouw (vergaderruimten) achter de pastorie is voor de bescherming van rijkswege van ondergeschikt belang.
Omschrijving
De PASTORIE is op een rechthoekig grondplan gebouwd. Het pand is in twee bouwlagen opgetrokken in bruin bezande bakstenen. Het flauw hellende, overstekende schilddak is belegd met leien. Op het zuidelijke dakvlak een gemetselde schoorsteen. In de 'hals' tussen woonhuis en kerk is een houten geverniste voordeur, met een tweetreeds betonnen stoep onder een betonnen luifel. Boven de luifel is een smal bovenlicht met glas-in-lood. In de voorgevel is een driezijdige erker en een balkon met een gemetselde balustrade erop. De H-vensters op de begane grond, met glas-in-lood bovenlichten onder rollaag, hebben bakstenen afzaten. De rechthoekige vensters op de verdieping bevinden zich direct onder de dakvoet. De achtergevel wordt op de begane grond ingedeeld door H-vensters met glas-in-lood bovenlichten. De deur heeft een glas-in-lood bovenlicht en een drietreeds gemetselde stoep.

Introduction
The RECTORY of the Roman Catholic church, dedicated to the Holy Ghost, was realised as part of the complex in 1934-'35 in Interbellum architecture according to a design by H.C.M. van Beers from Huis ter Heide near Zeist; the principal contractor was Jos Nyenhuis from Arnhem. The house is connected to the church by a 'neck'. The recent new building (meeting rooms) behind the rectory is of subordinate importance for national monument protection.
Description
The RECTORY is built on a rectangular ground plan. The building is constructed in two storeys in brown sanded brickwork. The gently sloping, overhanging hipped roof is covered with slate. On the southern roof plane a brick chimney. In the 'neck' between the dwelling and the church is a wooden painted front door, with a two-step concrete landing under a concrete canopy. Above the canopy is a narrow fanlight with leaded glass. In the front facade is a three-sided bay window and a balcony with a brick balustrade upon it. The H-windows on the ground floor, with leaded glass fanlights under a roll moulding, have brick lintels. The rectangular windows on the first floor are located directly under the roof edge. The rear facade is divided on the ground floor by H-windows with leaded glass fanlights. The door has a leaded glass fanlight and a three-step brick landing.
Valuation
The rectory, built in 1934-35 in Heerenveen according to a design by H.C.M. van Beers, is of general cultural-historical and architectural-historical importance:
