HISTORISCHE PARKAANLEG rond 1899 in Landschapsstijl aangelegd, onderdeel van de historische buitenplaats Zeerust.
Omschrijving
Het park beslaat voornamelijk het oostelijk gedeelte van de buitenplaats.
Vanaf het toegangshek (tussen twee linden) voert een grindpad om een rond, met bomen (o.a. Amerikaanse eik) beplant perk naar het huis. Achter het huis ligt centraal een groot grasveld, dat uitzicht biedt op de met bomen omzoomde waterpartij in het oostelijk gedeelte van het park. Aan de noordzijde van het grasveld leidt een kastanjelaan langs het koetshuis naar de waterpartij. In het midden van de vijver een met bomen beplant eilandje. De vijver heeft aan de noordzijde een aftakking, die met een bocht naar de achterkant van het park gaat. Het terrein om de vijver heen is beplant met gemengd loofhout. Oorspronkelijk liep daar een aantal wandelpaden, maar die zijn momenteel vanwege achterstallig onderhoud niet meer herkenbaar. De gehele noordkant van het park is beplant met gemengd loofhout. Aan de zuidzijde van het centrale grasveld liggen de boomgaard en de moestuin, die aan de oost- en de zuidkant omzoomd zijn door hagen. Ten westen van de moestuin bevindt zich een bosperceel, met o.a. ten zuiden van het huis een rode beuk en om de tuinmanswoning esdoorns en paardenkastanje. Het terrein tussen de weg en het huis bestaat uit grasveld.

De historische parkaanleg is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als onderdeel van een reeks parken die behoren bij de langs de Vliet gelegen historische buitenplaatsen. De historische parkaanleg is tevens van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een kleinschalige en eenvoudige aanleg in Landschapsstijl, een kenmerkende stroming in de ontwikkeling van de jongere Nederlandse tuinarchitectuur.
