Omschrijving complexonderdeel 3
Een uit baksteen opgetrokken KIPPENPALEIS van één bouwlaag, op zeshoekige plattegrond onder een met bitumen gedekt tentdak met overstek, dat op de hoeken door schoren met ajourwerk ondersteund wordt. De gesneden daklijst is van recente datum. De gevels zijn opgetrokken uit rode baksteen in kruisverband en zijn opgesierd met horizontale banden en een zaagtandlijst van geel baksteen die aan elke zijde onderbroken wordt door een verdiept liggend rondboogveld. In drie van deze velden is aan de bovenzijde een rondvenster gezet met een vierpas-roeden motief, dat omvat is door een rollaag. Twee velden zijn blind, terwijl in één veld aan de noordzijde een rondboogvormige houten deur is gezet. Achter deze deur bevindt zich een korte gang met houten wanden, waarin onderaan luiken zijn aangebracht om de gelegde eieren te kunnen pakken. Vijf velden hebben in de omgaande plint een kleine, getoogde ingang bestemd voor de kippen. Een uit geel baksteen gemetselde rondboogvormige strek sluit het veld af. Boven deze strekken is een omgaande muizetandlijst aangebracht, waarin zowel rode als gele baksteen is verwerkt. Om het kippenpaleis is een uit rode en gele baksteen gemetselde stoep aangebracht. Als gevolg van verzakking is op een aantal plaatsen een cementlaag aangebracht.

Het kippenpaleis is van architectuurhistorisch en typologisch belang vanwege de fraaie detaillering alsmede van ensemble waarde als onderdeel van de buitenplaats Molenbosch.

Description of complex component 3
A CHICKEN HOUSE built of brick of one storey, on hexagonal floor plan under a tent roof covered with bitumen with overhang, which at the corners is supported by braces with fretwork. The cut cornice is of recent date. The facades are built of red brick in English bond and are decorated with horizontal bands and a sawtooth cornice of yellow brick which at each side is interrupted by a sunken round-arch field. In three of these fields is at the upper side a round window set with a four-pointed star tracery motif, which is surrounded by a roll moulding. Two fields are blind, whilst in one field on the north side a round-arch shaped wooden door is set. Behind this door is a short passage with wooden walls, in which lugs are provided at the bottom to be able to collect the laid eggs. Five fields have in the continuous plinth a small, arched entrance intended for the chickens. A round-arch shaped stretcher built of yellow brick closes off the field. Above these stretchers a continuous dog-tooth cornice is placed, in which both red and yellow brick is used. Around the chicken house is a stoop built of red and yellow brick placed. As a result of subsidence, at a number of places a cement layer has been applied.

The chicken house is of architectural-historical and typological importance because of the fine detailing as well as of ensemble value as part of the country estate Molenbosch.
