Omschrijving complexonderdeel 3
Langs de rechterzijde van de centrale as gelegen gekoppelde WERKPLAATSPAVILJOENS die in een carrévorm gegroepeerd zijn. De werkplaatsen worden op twee hoeken door middel van lagere bouwvolumes met elkaar verbonden. Deze tussenvolumes hebben platte daken zonder overstek en bezittenn gesloten gevels, in tegenstelling tot het open karakter van de gevels van de werkplaatsen. De paviljoens zijn één bouwlaag hoog en hebben overstekende platte daken. De gevels zijn uit baksteen in klezoorverband opgetrokken en zijn voorzien van groten stalen twaalfruitsvensters met keramische onderdorpels. Op de hoeken bevindt zich een stalen rondvenster. De paviljoens hebben verschillende afmetingen. Het paviljoen aan de westzijde is negen vensterassen breed, het paviljoen aan de zuidzijde is veertien vensterassen breed, aan de oostzijde staat een paviljoen van zes vensterassen breed, aan de noordzijde bevind zich een paviljoen van vijf vensterassen breed en tot slot in de noordwest hoek staat het kleinste, geheel vrijstaande paviljoen met een aanbouw overeenkomstig de eerder genoemde lagere bouwvolumes. Deze aanbouw heeft een gewijzigde vensterindeling.
Aan de west- en noordzijde van de carrévorm bevinden zich doorgangen naar de binnenplaats met een gazon en een ronde vijver. Deze binnenplaats valt onder de rijksbescherming.

Van cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een therapievorm die in de eerste helft van de 20ste eeuw ontwikkeld werd, alsmede van architectuurhistorische betekenis vanwege de Nieuw-Zakelijke invloeden en bouwtype en als onderdeel van het oeuvre van architect Mertens. Description of complex component 3
Along the right side of the central axis located linked WORKSHOP PAVILIONS which are grouped in a square formation. The workshops are connected to each other at two corners by means of lower building volumes. These intermediate volumes have flat roofs without overhang and have closed facades, in contrast to the open character of the facades of the workshops. The pavilions are one storey high and have projecting flat roofs. The facades are executed in brickwork in Flemish bond and are provided with large steel twelve-light windows with ceramic lintels. At the corners is a steel round window. The pavilions have different dimensions. The pavilion on the west side is nine window bays wide, the pavilion on the south side is fourteen window bays wide, on the east side stands a pavilion of six window bays wide, on the north side is a pavilion of five window bays wide and finally in the north-west corner stands the smallest, completely detached pavilion with an annex corresponding to the aforementioned lower building volumes. This annex has an altered window arrangement.
On the west and north side of the square formation are passages to the inner courtyard with a lawn and a round pond. This courtyard is under national monument protection.
Valuation of complex component 3
Of cultural-historical value as an example of a therapy form developed in the first half of the 20th century, as well as of architectural-historical significance because of the New Objective influences and building type and as part of the oeuvre of architect Mertens.
