Omschrijving onderdeel 6: HEKKEN, bestaande uit a. inrijhek b. hek achter het huis c. achteringang d. ijzeren hekwerk naast inrijhek ad a.: het inrijhek, in oorsprong XVIII, staat aan het einde van de brug op het voorplein in de lijn van de keermuur; de borstwering van de keermuur botst op de vierkante pijlers van het hek; de bakstenen pijlers hebben een cementlaag, waarin aan de brug- en pleinzijde bossingen gemodelleerd zijn; op de beide andere zijden zijn natuurstenen blokken geïmiteerd. De pijlers zijn wit geschilderd; dekplaten en bekroningen zijn nieuw, natuursteen. De smeedijzeren hekvleugels zijn gerestaureerd naar oud voorbeeld: zwarte spijlen eindigend in vergulde speerpunten; de lengte der spijlen loopt volgens gewelfde lijn op naar het midden van het hek; tussen de spijlen krulversieringen van bandijzer. ad b.: ook hier twee vierkante pijlers (nieuw opgetrokken) met oude dekplaten; geen bekroningen meer; hekvleugels gelijk aan die van inrijhek. ad c.: twee forse vierkante pijlers met plint en rechte bovenzijde (geen dekplaat of andere afwerking); monolieten van Naamse steen; rond 1800 of ouder. ad d.: over een lengte van ong. 6 m. staat links en rechts van het inrijhek ijzeren hekwerk, XVIII-XIX, op de borstwering van de keermuur; de vierkante ijzeren tussenstijlen bekroond met vergulde eikels.

Description component 6: GATES, consisting of a. entrance gate b. gate behind the house c. rear entrance d. iron railings next to entrance gate ad a.: the entrance gate, originally 18th century, stands at the end of the bridge on the forecourt in line with the retaining wall; the parapet of the retaining wall meets the square pillars of the gate; the brick pillars have a cement layer, in which bosses are modelled on the bridge and courtyard side; on the two other sides natural stone blocks are imitated. The pillars are painted white; coping stones and finials are new, natural stone. The wrought-iron gate panels are restored after an old example: black spikes ending in gilded spear points; the length of the spikes runs according to a curved line towards the centre of the gate; between the spikes decorative scrollwork of bar iron. ad b.: here too two square pillars (newly built) with old coping stones; no finials remaining; gate panels similar to those of the entrance gate. ad c.: two sturdy square pillars with plinth and straight top (no coping stone or other finishing); monoliths of Namur stone; around 1800 or older. ad d.: over a length of approximately 6 m. stands on either side of the entrance gate iron railings, 18th-19th century, on the parapet of the retaining wall; the square iron uprights crowned with gilded acorns.
