The register's description

Description component 2: PARK LAYOUT, consisting of a. forecourt b. house island c. central island d. eastern island e. land between the Molensloot and the Kingbeek ad a.: the forecourt is very small and lies between the house island and the road; the layout is of recent date; along the short drive stand young linden trees to replace old overgrown specimens; further young walnut trees in grass plots left and right of the drive; along the road a young yew hedge. ad b.: in the middle of the house island lies the complex of main building and service buildings (see under 3) in strict symmetry; the island is separated on all sides from the moat by a retaining wall (see under 5), which in essence is probably late medieval; otherwise no traces of an older garden layout. ad c.: the central island is of the same age and has approximately the same dimensions and shape as the house island, with which it is connected via a bridge (see under 4); the island still clearly bears the traces of a 19th-century landscape layout: a central grass field with a single line of planting around it, in which many old solitary trees remain. It is probable that a kitchen garden was laid out on this island in the 18th century. ad d.: the eastern island probably originated in the 18th century and is larger (more elongated) than the other two; the moat around it is much wider and can be seen as a fish pond; between the eastern moat section and the stream lies a very narrow strip of land with grass; along the north side of the moat runs a path, which is planted on both sides with old oaks in single rows; furthermore there is a symmetrical grass path cross (also visible on old maps as a layout); in the sections stands young woodland, planted in the 1980s. At the southern end of the north-south path stand two very old, large plane trees (first half of 19th century?) on either side of the dam over the moat; they mark the transition to the land between the Molensloot and the Kingbeek. The eastern island is connected to the central island by a dam; there is also a dam at the northern end of the north-south path; this is the connection to the oak avenue that crosses it. ad e.: the aforementioned north-south path continues as a central axis into the land along the stream south of the eastern island; it is an elongated plot, in the east along the stream overgrown, the middle path is only very faintly recognizable; the oldest topographic map (1842) and Tranchot's map (circa 1803-1813) show a park-like layout with a system of avenues.

Valuation PARK LAYOUT of general importance - on account of its age - on account of its cultural-historical and landscape-visual values
