Inleiding
WOONHUIS, in 1920 gebouwd als dokterswoning bij de krankzinnigeninrichting St. Bavo. De Overgangsarchitectuur is sterk verwant, zij het minder rijk geornamenteerd, aan de bouwstijl van het hoofgebouw en de kapel. Inwendig is het pand gemoderniseerd.
Omschrijving
WOONHUIS van twee bouwlagen onder een samengesteld schild-zadeldak met Hollandse pannen gedekt. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in bruine baksteen, voorzien van horizontale sierbanden in gele strengperssteen. Cordonlijsten en onderdorpels van hardsteen. Recht gesloten vensters met roedenverdeling in de bovenlichten. Centraal in de voorgevel (west) de ingang en rechts daarvan een hoog opgaande gevelpartij eindigend in een puntgevel onder zadeldak. Halfronde erker over twee bouwlagen en halfrond balkon met gemetselde borstwering. Nieuwe deur in rondboogvormig portiek.
Tegen de vrijwel blinde zuidgevel een erker met afgesnoten hoeken en kleine zesruits vensters. Tegen de achtergevel (oost) een gemetselde serre onder plat dak met dubbele glasdeur tussen zijlichten onder doorlopend bovenlicht met vertikale roedenverdeling. Op de hoek met de noordelijke zijgevel een aangebouwde bijkeuken van één bouwlaag onder plat dak. Kleine dakkapellen en hoge gemetselde schoorstenen in de dakschilden.

RESIDENCE of two storeys beneath a composite hipped-gabled roof covered with Dutch tiles. The facades are constructed in brown brick, furnished with horizontal decorative bands in yellow pressed brick. String courses and sills of stone. Flush windows with glazing bars in the fanlights. Central to the front facade (west) the entrance and to the right of it a tall rising facade section ending in a pointed gable beneath a gabled roof. Semicircular bay window over two storeys and semicircular balcony with mortared parapet. New door in a round-arch-shaped portico.
Against the virtually blind south facade a bay window with cut-off corners and small six-pane windows. Against the rear facade (east) a mortared conservatory beneath flat roof with double glazed door between side lights beneath continuous fanlight with vertical glazing bars. On the corner with the northern side facade an attached scullery of one storey beneath flat roof. Small roof dormers and tall mortared chimneys in the roof slopes.
