Inleiding
WOONHUIS gebouwd rond 1890-1900 in ambachtelijk-traditionalistische trant gelegen op het oude havengebied van Meppel. Vanwege de ligging ten opzichte van Bleekerseiland 7 ontstaat er een klein driehoekig parkje.
Omschrijving.
Op rechthoekig grondplan gebaseerd woonhuis van een bouwlaag met schilddak voorzien van twee schoorstenen; geglazuurde hollandse pan. Opbouw met gepleisterde plint, baksteen, smeedijzeren sierankers en geprofileerde goot. De symmetrische voorgevel heeft in het midden een hardstenen stoep met deur en bovenlicht; aan weerszijden twee getoogde vensters. In de as van de deur een dakkapel met fronton en bekroning. De rechterzijgevel bevat twee getoogde vensters en heeft een keldervenster onder het achterste raam.
Waardering.
Woonhuis van cultuurhistorisch, architectuurhistorisch en stedebouwkundig belang vanwege de ligging in het havengebied, de zorgvuldige en sobere architectuur en de beeldbepalende ligging op het Bleekerseiland. Gaaf.

RESIDENTIAL BUILDING constructed around 1890-1900 in craft-traditional style located on the former harbour area of Meppel. Because of its location in relation to Bleekerseiland 7, a small triangular park is created.

Residential building based on a rectangular ground plan with one storey with hipped roof fitted with two chimneys; glazed Dutch tile. Construction with plastered plinth, brick, wrought-iron ornamental wall anchors and profiled gutter. The symmetrical front facade has in the centre a stone step with door and fanlight; on either side two arched windows. In the axis of the door a roof dormer with pediment and coping. The right side facade contains two arched windows and has a cellar window below the rear window.

Residential building of cultural-historical, architectural-historical and urban planning importance on account of the location in the harbour area, the careful and modest architecture and the distinctive location on Bleekerseiland. Intact.
