Inleiding
Het KOETSHUIS is gebouwd in 1769. Mogelijk diende het in streekeigen bouwtrant opgetrokken pand ook als woning. Het is van 1932 tot en met 1982 in gebruik geweest bij de kunstenaar Jan Heesters als werkruimte.
Omschrijving
Het vrijstaande eenlaagse rechthoekige koetshuis is opgetrokken uit handvorm baksteen met rechte en gekrulde muurankers. Het heeft een zadeldak met zwarte oudhollandse pannen. De nokas van het pand staat loodrecht op de straat. Het pand is door middel van een bakstenen muur met ezelsrug verbonden aan het herenhuis. Deze muur wordt onderbroken door een poort. In de korte gevel aan de straatzijde bevindt zich een kruisvenster met luiken. In de tuitgevel bij de nok het jaartal 1769. De vensters zijn voorzien van hardstenen dorpels. In de lange zijgevel rechts een half kruiskozijn met luik en een nieuw opgemetselde hoge schoorsteen. In de rechterzijgevel is er een getoogde dubbele poort en rechts een paneeldeur. De korte achtergevel bevat een raam op de begane grond en één op de etage. Alle kozijnen zijn vernieuwd.
Inwendig is het pand in twee vertrekken verdeeld. Het deel aan de straatzijde was in gebruik als etsruimte van kunstenaar Jan Heesters. De ijzeren etspers herinnert hier aan.

The detached single-storey rectangular coach house is built of handmade brick with straight and curled ornamental wall anchors. It has a gabled roof with black Old Dutch tiles. The roof ridge of the building stands perpendicular to the street. The building is connected to the manor house by means of a brick wall with a half-hipped end, this wall being interrupted by a gate. In the short gable facing the street there is a cross window with shutters. In the spout gable at the ridge is the date 1769. The windows are provided with ashlar sills. In the long side gable on the right a half cross window with shutter and a newly built high chimney. In the right side gable there is a round-arched double door and to the right a panel door. The short rear gable contains a window on the ground floor and one on the upper floor. All window frames have been renewed.
