Omschrijving complexonderdeel 2
De TUIN van De Hoogt werd in 1908 in geometrische stijl, in de moderne architectonische tuinstijl, ontworpen. De stijl is verwant aan die van tuinarchitect D.F. Tersteeg. De tuin is ontworpen aan de voorzijde van het verhoogd tegen een uitloper van de Utrechtse Heuvelrug gelegen landhuis. Bij de aanleg is gebruik gemaakt van de natuurlijke glooiing. De aanleg is deels in verval geraakt, doch de hoofdlijnen zijn duidelijk herkenbaar. De resterende aanleg bestaat uit een terras met muurtjes en trappen, direct aan de oostzijde het huis gelegen. Het terras is belegd met flagstones. Vanuit het midden van het huis leidt een zichtlijn naar de Amersfoortseweg. Achter het restant van de geometrische aanleg ligt een druppelvormig weiland met een coulisse van loofbomen links en naaldbomen ter rechterzijde. In het midden op de as ligt achter het weiland een dubbele laan die uitkomt op de Amersfoortseweg. Het middenperk van deze laan is beplant met rhodondendrons.
De geometrische aanleg voor het terras bestaat uit drie gesloten deeltuinen, de bloementuinen. De middelste is vanaf het terras toegankelijk, de buitenste worden ontsloten via de middelste deeltuin. De doorgangen tussen de deeltuinen worden gevormd door haagpoorten. De beplanting bestaat uit haagbeuken, terwijl de tuinen thans alleen uit gazon bestaan. In het midden van de middelste tuin bevindt zich een ronde vijver, waarin een beeld van een jongetje met een vogel. Erachter staat een hardstenen sokkel opgesteld in Lodewijk XVI-stijl. Op deze sokkel was vermoedelijk een zonnewijzer geplaatst.
Aan de zuidzijde van het huis bevindt zich tenslotte de oprijlaan met beukenbeplanting.

The GARDEN of De Hoogt was designed in 1908 in geometric style, in the modern architectural garden style. The style is related to that of garden architect D.F. Tersteeg. The garden was designed at the front of the country house, positioned higher against an outlier of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The natural slope was used in the layout. The design has partly fallen into disrepair, but the main lines are clearly recognisable. The remaining layout consists of a terrace with low walls and stairs, directly on the east side of the house. The terrace is paved with flagstones. From the centre of the house a sight line leads to the Amersfoortseweg. Behind the remnant of the geometric layout lies a teardrop-shaped meadow with a backdrop of deciduous trees on the left and coniferous trees on the right. In the middle on axis, behind the meadow, is a double avenue leading to the Amersfoortseweg. The central part of this avenue is planted with rhododendrons.
The geometric layout in front of the terrace consists of three enclosed garden sections, the flower gardens. The middle one is accessible from the terrace; the outer ones are accessed via the middle garden section. The passages between the garden sections are formed by hedge gates. The planting consists of hornbeam hedges, while the gardens now consist only of lawn. In the middle of the middle garden is a round pond, in which is a statue of a boy with a bird. Behind it is a stone plinth set up in Louis XVI style. A sundial was presumably placed on this plinth.
Finally, on the south side of the house is the drive lined with beech trees.
