De GEDENKNAALD bestaat uit een vierzijdige granieten obelisk op vierkante pedestal met diverse reliëfvoorstellingen die betrekking hebben op de textielindustrie en met de inscriptie: "Ter herinnering aan onze geachte patroons Auke Hajo ter Horst en Jan ter Horst Jhzn. de stichters van dit park. De arbeiders en arbeidsters van Ter Horst en co. Rijssen 30 dec. 1922.".

The MEMORIAL OBELISK consists of a four-sided granite obelisk on a square pedestal with various relief representations relating to the textile industry and with the inscription: "In remembrance of our esteemed proprietors Auke Hajo ter Horst and Jan ter Horst Jhzn, the founders of this park. The workers of Ter Horst and co. Rijssen 30 Dec. 1922."
